28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡpkQYnSekQe

WHOOSH—!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡNUnrT4EGvX

Suspended in midair, Miu fired.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡfD7aRiO9HY

BANG!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡhsj8ethgsQ

P leaped forward.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡ73VYENoj9o

The blue-electric projectile tore past the back of his head.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡ4QSWc6uS3I

BZZZT— POW!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡp4UxaoDH1t

It struck the ground behind him, electricity crackling across the pavement.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡgRyQAr9n9L

P hit the ground, rolled forward, and rose onto one knee.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡpHvc7xqNji

Mei's axe came swinging straight for his head.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡObRhfCs94a

At the same moment, Miu landed on the roadside far behind Mei, near the pavement, cracking the ground on impact.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡItEkDezRRY

She turned to aim.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡj9dQ27pBzs

WHIISSH...

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡmzg5eO6Tx1

P dropped onto his back, intending to roll clear.

**BUT SLOWLY...**

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡ9aZPngIjIt

WHOOSH

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡKHth3cizD0

After one roll, P noticed Mei's pupils narrowing into slits.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡSVqShCdO3s

Both her hands gripped the axe she'd first swung at him.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡKoeQOF5Dmm

His eyes flicked past her — Miu was lining up a shot.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡC4zrLo6J0P

P tapped the ground.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡ5TM9qY8YkJ

TAP!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡF1ZbJJiobM

WHINCE!

Mei's eyes slit!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡpIrV90C7fL

CLICK!

Miu pulled the trigger.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡyUNa8L0QCx

BANG! BANG!....

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡzDgvOVafbN

Mei struck at the same moment.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡ7RNloGfJfX

WHACK!

Her cutting attack landed!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡPIkPka9sdQ

"Huh?" Mei thought, confused.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡjqQCCqYHyn

It hit nothing but empty space.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡjKVu8IPVpP

WHIISSH!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡc9bkT0atc0

P was already airborne.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡF3dVSOBgFv

Looking down at Mei, he watched the two bullets strike the spot he'd just left.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡltE9zsP9D3

POW.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡDOK4Q3Pedx

POW.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡag1YAPIVqn

Mei's eyes followed him as he flipped back down to the ground.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡdzvWdnZuDB

"Hm!" Miu hummed calmly.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡdvTUCOfQgR

CLACK!

She tossed her rifle aside.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡS5xVNn85oE

"He disappeared in a second," said Miu.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡiNdvXh8CV9

BZZZTEEEW!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡFPlytQCkXV

Two small dimensional rifts opened beside her. She reached into them and pulled out a quiver of arrows and a bow.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡl37LFNqzIl

"He's not a normal human," said Miu, and gave chase.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡixSqjhZKuk

TAK! TAK!

TAK....

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡkGNAOnOnRY

CLENCH!

Mei tightened her grip on the axe.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡf2P2b46IGI

"I couldn't track his movement," said Mei.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡKP1msgf0dp

TAK! TAK!..

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡncaTk8KuWR

Both women took off after P, into the busy street.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡSVy6faFumz

TMP. TMP. TMP...

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡfjcqVf6jq0

"GOD-DAMN!" P ducked, dodging Mei's axe.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡ6e3tY6lzHr

FWHOM-

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡLfZXxPNh5O

*"They won't stop,"* P thought, tilting back.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡKJXMDvoT50

He dodged an arrow that whistled past his head.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡarDm6vLNNS

*"Chasing me!"* P thought.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡgGmj4O2LPx

He sprinted down the busy roadside.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡGLMJos5oy4

TMP! TMP!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡ1UgI5sEhXt

TMP! TMP!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡrdBHL1vrmN

VROOOOOOM—!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡTIhWQRl32b

Cars and trucks roared past, pedestrians strolling the pavement, completely unaware of the three people about to turn their peaceful afternoon into a disaster.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡ36jtAKwId7

WHOOSH—!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡcZp8darduD

An arrow flew past P's head.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡUeK1nIVbkb

"JESUS!" P exclaimed.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡq8Pyj5zhxX

"ARGGH... MY LEG!" a pedestrian shouted.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡAD1awq2Ky9

"GET OUT OF THE WAY!" P shouted, shoving a man aside and sprinting past.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡ7p3rYX97zY

"HEY! WHAT THE FUCK—?!" the pedestrian yelled.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡitlQpsS1Qm

P ducked.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡGesKShg05u

SHING—!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡSqmKL3TZ8c

Mei's axe sliced the air above him, narrowly missing.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡBJWslzBbdx

KRAAASH—!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡcv4EZoy32B

The blade struck a signpost.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡXyQWfEVPkQ

"GET OUT OF THE WAY!" P shouted again, smacking one pedestrian aside and shoving past another.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡ0mDQd91F30

"OI! WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING!"

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡF9vnlTfMqJ

"WHAT THE HELL?!"

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡkhuA0SFBCR

P ignored them. He had bigger problems.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡpwTkCB9jfU

"THAT BASTARD JUST PUSHED ME!" a pedestrian shouted.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡQE47kyETaq

"YOU SON OF A BITCH!" P shouted back, pointing.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡOr8YD3eYC9

"Fuck you!" the pedestrian shouted.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡ3UtwMJjwAI

TWANG!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡ5SNTFAoGQ6

Another arrow streaked toward him.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡ7bxnmP0j3s

P tilted his head.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡisdV1I4HTh

FWOOSH!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡBOkBkBOREz

It grazed his hair before burying itself in a utility pole.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡctczsOaBkv

Behind him, Miu ran with her bow raised, eyes calmly tracking his movements.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡp4aanPAOHz

*"He's running so fast — if we really wanted to, we could catch him instantly, but..."* Miu thought.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡ645SPYI97d

*"We've already slowed ourselves down to a normal human's pace, and he's still outrunning us..."* she thought. *"Feels a little unfair."*

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡesA9Z5nQX7

She recalled the moment P flipped through the air, dodging both Mei's slash and her bullets.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡz2w5l7KFe1

*"He can't be human,"* Miu thought.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡKpYbhr9Ape

Mei raced beside her, gripping her enormous axe.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡqYuRTUeH5i

"MIU! DON'T HURT THE HUMANS!"

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡLo85DVoYSg

"I know," Miu shouted.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡXJb4g8qBvp

"THEN WATCH WHERE YOU'RE SHOOTING!" Mei shouted.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡpHLbAEHebd

Miu glanced at the arrow lodged in the pole. "...Understood."

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡ8jxXhB9S53

She drew another arrow.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡxEtAfjY6xr

P glanced over his shoulder.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡJFvYWx4Bc9

"SHIT!"

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡcVQRlFsUFC

WHOOSH—!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡm4zkLoEQrW

Mei swung.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡtwTKMTOQOB

P ducked beneath the blade and cut direction sharply, leaping onto the hood of a passing car.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡgW9loAUSnf

THUD!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡPliGGEMbJD

"WHAT THE—?!" the driver shouted, slamming the brakes.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡ6iV7RZzMLT

SKREEEEEE—!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡ8duQQCUws6

P ran across the hood, up onto the roof, and jumped onto the back of a delivery truck.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡ87ZSMf0rKX

BAM! BAM! BAM!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡce52OotS8s

He sprinted across the truck's roof as it swerved between lanes.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡITAPEVwiVj

The driver leaned out his window. "GET OFF MY TRUCK! YOU NIG-GUH!"

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡjz1ecyZTvl

P jumped.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡ2ETBNLOihR

WHOOSH—!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡ4wf8NHAEa5

CRASH!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡiy4RPBcWaR

He landed on the roof of another car before leaping to the pavement.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡLL8ofPSU9Y

"MY CAAR!" the driver cried out.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡEUGunNVEEq

"Soooow-rrrrry!" P apologized, still running.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡQJCRlSOqar

Behind him—

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡFoy954V5jV

BAM!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡJL8VQkd71n

Mei landed on the delivery truck's roof, denting the metal under her boots, and launched herself after P.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡwrfwFQM2Zt

Miu followed, landing on a nearby car's roof with far less noise.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡEG36jrJG34

"HEY THERE!" the driver called out to Miu through the window, calm and sweet, while his wife glared at him from the passenger seat.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡo5JGJTr12N

He noticed her glare just as his vision was suddenly blocked by—

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡHLFr0x7mD0

SLAP!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡe5jmXdZTMe

TWANG!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡRZ4GHWjaRg

An arrow shot toward P's back.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡS4UQe0p0NA

He twisted aside. It missed, striking a traffic light's support pole instead.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡX5hW2OIgdE

CRACK!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡEwHko19UvZ

The pole tilted dangerously.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡw6RtssrCXA

Mei eyed the damage. "MIU!"

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡRBxuLql9SK

"It missed him," said Miu.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡw4x2G7LDSV

"THAT'S NOT THE POINT!" Mei shouted.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡf8dAJOcCgD

P darted between two cars.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡYe9e12HGJ9

HONK! HONK! HONK!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡW5zgfHUDCz

A truck swerved to avoid him, its rear end slamming into a parked car.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡLMVGmEQJ0O

KRAAASH!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡM2eFPr5mv1

Glass scattered across the road.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡceU0skZarY

P didn't look back. He crossed the remaining lanes, leapt over a fallen motorcycle, and reached the far pavement.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡpS2SnFs7VX

TMP. TMP.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡrD9s7EKMRn

TMP. TMP.....

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡhMoIgxe8Po

His feet pounded the pavement as he ran toward a row of buildings.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡ8rX6Eezt8T

A woman carrying shopping bags stepped right into his path.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡlWRDu4l74S

"OHH!" she said.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡOJ2CAcbgZj

"Excuse me, mam—"

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡbaGDHanbuU

P grabbed and moved her aside, kept running.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡyDKLOFd5Hf

Behind him, Mei landed hard, cracking the asphalt beneath her feet.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡN1YGXLi06a

TAK!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡQzUeNmMe4M

Miu landed beside her. Both resumed the chase.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡEYu6DZ1D6W

Mei raised her axe.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡXKe7mAxUQh

SHING—!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡKIr15rqgOQ

A dark, curved slash tore through the air.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡJUNxbcxo5k

P ducked. It passed over him and sliced clean through a shop's awning.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡIiSaLuVzqv

KRRRRAAASH!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡTGvogYLvjO

He suddenly cut left.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡM9FJD2TIUf

WHOOSH!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡPyoQCcAITI

Crossing the pavement, he headed straight for a convenience store, its glass entrance dead ahead.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡ5onKFVpa7R

P didn't slow down.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡMjhtcZhdkQ

KRAAASH—!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡ4HuKcgZXTe

He burst straight through the glass door.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡ18I0RkWCjH

The store owner jolted up from behind the shelf, shocked and furious, unsure how to react.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡZGWte30SAE

"FUCK YOU, NIGGA!" the Japanese shopkeeper screamed as P came flying toward him.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡQR75UVDzh7

P grabbed the counter, but it toppled onto the owner instead.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡSUC483y00t

BAAAAAAM!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡG7SGjdh7De

"UGHHH— MY BACK!" the owner shouted.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡ6cGMNvlNad

Snacks, products, and plastic containers scattered everywhere.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡC5m58E7Kzk

TMP. TMP...

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡZGjtPu1rYW

P sprinted for the black door at the back of the store.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡRScGaqWqY4

Behind him—

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡKl7vzAmxpD

KRAAASH!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡGcrf9nFJkE

Mei and Miu burst through the shattered entrance.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡLhIPXUuX34

Mei's eyes widened as she spotted the collapsed counter — and P.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡYkL4scB1RT

"Shoot him!" she shouted.

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡJyJ8x0wW3c

BOOM- KRAAASSHCK!

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡlCOc5XtkLe

P burst through the door—

28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡRW2txXMb09

but the next thing he saw was a small balcony, and a railing...28Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡeXFOKx4srV
