Acceptance

I stopped asking,

"Why did you leave?"

The wind had no answer,

Only fallen leaves.

The tears still visited,

But they no longer drowned me.

They became quiet rivers,

Flowing gently to the sea.

Love doesn't disappear

When someone is gone.

It changes its address,

And lives inside the heart.

I still miss yesterday,

But I no longer fear tomorrow.

Some scars never vanish—

They simply become part of my story.

Acceptance is not forgetting.

It is learning to smile

While carrying memories

That will always walk beside me.
