In a big house live a family that is rich. The family is known by peoples, because they always kind to the people around them. The family only consist of a husband and a wife. They have no kids, they wanted one but it never happens. One day, the wife was going for a fishing with her sister. The two of them went to the nearest river together, bringing all the stuff for fishing like fishing rod, bait, tackle box, and a bucket, to go fishing together.
After they arrive on the river, the two of them sitting near the side of the river while waiting for the fish.
“Fishing is really fun.” Said the sister.
“Isn’t it boring because we need to wait for a long time to get the fish.” Said the wife.
“That’s the fun part. While we wait we can chat with each other. Anything you want to share?” Said the sister.
“Hmm let me think about it..” Said the wife.
“How about your wish to have a child?” Ask the sister.
“Yes, that one! It’s really hard! My husband and I have already tried many times and we are still failed..” Said the wife.
“Have you go to the temple and pray?” Ask the sister.
“Yes I do. Just yesterday I go. I’m just hoping that my prayer will be heard by God.” Said the wife.
Right after she said that, her fishing rod is moving, she finally ctach a fish. The size of that fish is medium, as long as an arm of a child.
“Woah lucky you! After saying that you got a fish!” Said the sister.
“Yeah, I will cook this fish for a dinner tonight. My husband will be very happy that I catch a fish for a dinner tonight~” Said the wife.
“Yeah he will be very proud of you sister!~” Said the sister.
That day, the wife go home happily bringing the fish that she catch from the river. After she arrived, she quickly prepare it for the dinner. She cut the fish. However, upon cutting the fish, she is kinda surprised, because she found a beautiful brush for painting. The color of the handle is golden. There is also carve of a phoenix and a dragon on the gold handle, while the brush itself colored white. It is very pretty and look so expensive. She quickly clean and wash the golden brush she found after finish preparing the fish.
She took the golden brush to her room. It’s lucky for her, because beside she loves to go with her sister wherever she go, she also have another hobbies, one of it is painting. Today luck is really on her side, not only she catch a fish, but she also got a beautiful golden brush to paint.
When her husband finally come home from his works, the wife greet him and welcome him. The two of them are having a dinner together. Her wife sharing everything that happen to her today. Her husband also feels happy for her.
The next day, in her recess time after her lunch, the wife start painting using that brush. Today the theme of her painting is the fruit that she just bought yesterday, a papaya. She put the fruit on the luxury golden basket and she start painting it.
Right after she paint it, she left to drink a water and when she comesback, the papaya came out from the painting. She is shocked. However, she still touching it to make sure it is real or not. Turn out it was real. She quickly grab a fruit knife and cut it two. Inside the fruit she saw a big seed as big as the inside of that papaya. It looks weird, the normal seed should be a bunch of mini seed with black color, however, this one is big.
While she is shocked for a moment, the big seed slowly cracking by itself until the inside can be seen. The wife is so surprised because inside that seed there is a small baby sleeping. The woman which at first looks shock and in awe suddenly happy, a bright and wide smile, a tear of happiness comes from her face. Maybe this baby was an answer to her prayer to God in the temple before. She quickly bring that baby to her room, give a blanket for it, and made a milk for her.
Later on when her husband comes home, she tell him everything that happens again. Her husband is really happy, finally the two of them have child. They finally gives him a beautiful name, because her skin is white like porcelain, her eyes is as big as an almond, and her lip is pink like spring flowers they name her Xiu Hua.
The two of them are so happy, that they took care of her really well and educate her really well so she can grow to become a noble, graceful, refined and serene person. 5 years has passed since then. Xiu Hua grow as a kind hearted child like how they parents always teach her.
One day, Xiu Hua is playing outside in their garden. She brings all of her toys with her, she also open her mother’s drawer to find something to bring, and she found the golden brush. That golden brush looks very pretty so she took it with her. She then sitting on the grass, playing with her dolls and toys. While playing with her toys suddenly a crow flying towards her. The golden brush looks so shiny under the sun, and the crow took it away from her and fly away.
Xiu Hua quickly run to her mother who is sewing inside their house. She cries so hard. Her mother panic and ask her to tell what happens.
“Huaaa.. motherr!” Cry Xiu Hua running towards her mother and hug her.
“Xiu Hua, what is it? Why are you crying? What happens?” Ask her mother, hugging her so tight.
“That bad bird.. with the color of black.. took the golden brush away…” Said Xiu Hua.
“What? Where you get that golden brush?” Ask her mother softly.
“I’m sorry… I took it from your drawer… I-I thought I can play with my doll with that so I took it..” Said Xiu Hua.
“Alright, alright, that’s just a brush, don’t cry. What’s matter the most is you, as long as you are okay, mother are happy.” Said the mother.
“But… It’s your favorite brush.. and now the bird take it..” Said Xiu Hua.
“We can buy another brush later. But Xiu Hua is the most important here, if Xiu Hua sick, mother will be sad, or if Xiu Hua gone, mother cannot eat until Xiu Hua comeback. So Xiu Hua don’t cry okay, it’s just a brush only.” Said the mother still hugging her child and patting her.
“Mhm, thankyou mother.” Said Xiu Hua, hugging her mother.
They become a happy family, Xiu Hua are loved by her mother and father and grow up to become a girl who is not only good at appearance but also her heart is beautiful as well.

In other side the golden brush was stolen by the crow. The crow put the golden brush on his nest alongside with other shiny stuff that it gathers.
