The Wrong Wave
The most embarrassing moment of my life happened because I thought I was the main character.
I was walking through the school corridor, trying to look confident. Suddenly, I saw someone at the other end smiling and waving enthusiastically.
"Wow," I thought. "People actually know me."
So I smiled even wider and waved back with both hands like I was greeting a long-lost relative.
The person kept walking... toward me.
I prepared myself for a friendly conversation.
Instead, they walked right past me and hugged the girl standing behind me.
I froze.
The girl behind me even looked at me with pity.
Trying to save myself, I pretended I was... stretching. Yes, stretching. I turned my wave into some weird arm exercise and looked at the ceiling as if I was checking for spiders.
Nobody believed it.
My friends had seen everything.
For the next month, every time someone waved, they'd ask, "Are you sure it's for you?"
Even now, whenever I wave at someone, I secretly check three times to make sure they're actually looking at me.
That day taught me an important lesson:
Never wave back with full confidence unless you've confirmed you're the correct human.
Otherwise, you're just giving strangers a free comedy show. 😅30Please respect copyright.PENANAolpg9bP1qh
