“THE FURNACE HEART”
61Please respect copyright.PENANAj5Uf1oW44u
The main halls tent is a breath of fresh air in camp, ventelating heat into a world that has forgotten warmth.

The furnace blaster stands in the center like a glass‑bellied titan, its flames swirling in slow, hypnotic spirals—orange, gold, and faint streaks of blue. The glass is so clear they can see each other through it, faces distorted by firelight like reflections in water. The smell is a mix of: burning cedar, wet wool drying, old parchment, Lilly’s herbal salves and snow melting off cloaks.

The walls are lined with woven blankets and carpets. Rose and Lilly salvaged from their home—faded reds, forest greens, stitched birds, stitched mountains. They hang unevenly, but the imperfection makes it feel lived‑in.

The floor is packed earth covered with mismatched rugs. Some are frayed. Some are beautiful. All are warm. The air carries a certain heaviness, like a chapel built out of survival.

--- THE BARN —
61Please respect copyright.PENANAUC06DfVZ53
The barn sits just right of the hall, its structure rising like a small dark cathedral against the snow. Paul's built it with his bare hands—every beam, every nail, every joint carved with stubborn love. Inside, it smells of:hay, horse sweat, pine shavings, cold iron tools and the faint sweetness of stored apples

Sally, Crook, Curly, Angelo, and Tank the mule all have their own stalls, decorated differently:

Paul keeps the barn immaculate. Even sore and exhausted, he sweeps the aisles every night.

LILLY’S and ANA's COTTAGE — “THE HEALER’S HAVEN”
61Please respect copyright.PENANAD1bmCEuxry
Paul builds Ana a cottage left of the main hall—a small, warm, crooked little home that looks like it grew out of the earth.

The walls are stone at the bottom, wood at the top. The roof dips slightly in the middle, giving it a storybook charm. Smoke curls from the chimney like a soft ribbon.

Inside, it glows.

Lanterns hang from hooks Paul's forged.
Dried herbs dangle from the rafters—lavender, sage, mint, white flame blossoms.
The air smells like healing, like warmth, like safety.

Ana and Lilly's beds are covered in quilts she stitched from scraps. Paul builds them a wooden table with uneven legs, but they love it. Ana often sits there, grinding herbs, humming softly.

It is the warmest place in camp.

THE OUTDOOR KITCHEN — “THE COMMUNAL FIRE”
61Please respect copyright.PENANAOgf3u3tkkh
A stone half‑carved built by Paul and Blake, with a metal grate salvaged from an old wagon. It's created in front of Lillys personal cottage. Snow piles around it, but the fire keeps a small oasis of warmth. The smell here is: smokey, with boiled roots and burnt seeds, melted snow with faint traces of meat and seasonings.

Rose decorates the area with:pine branches woven into garlands, smooth river stones arranged in spirals, a string of tiny bells she found in a ruined cottage; a cloth banner she painted with a rising sun.

Rose has a gift—turning survival into sanctuary.
61Please respect copyright.PENANAOVi18HOq41
She decorates with whatever she can find: feathers, dried flowers, colored glass shards , scraps of ribbon, carved wooden shapes painted stones, woven twine charms.

She ties them to beams, hangs them from rafters, places them on shelves. Everywhere she touches becomes warmer, softer, more vibrant.

Even when freezing, she makes beauty.

Even when feeling uncertain, she makes hope.
