The sun hangs low, warm and gold, spilling over the Cherryblossom Village like a blessing. The entire settlement glows — not with magic alone, but with life, preparation, and anticipation. The village is a woven tapestry of colors: White blossoms drifting like snow, pink petals glowing in the light. Green leaves shimmering in the breeze. Brown bark and wooden cabins nestle between roots and branches. Everywhere, the trees stand tall and gentle, their branches arching over walkways like bright magical ceilings.

At the center rises the Grandfather Tree, ancient and impossibly wide, its trunk spiraling upward like a pillar of the world. Wrapped around it is the three‑story yurt, the heart of the village:

The first floor opens into a red‑and‑gold communal hall, warm light spilling across small rounded dark oakwood tables arranged sparatically. The air carries heat from the hearths and the hum of shared meals, tapestries and paintings catching the glow as they hang gently above. It feels grounded, lived‑in, and unmistakably the heart of the lodge.
The second floor shifts into a purple‑and‑teal lounge, a calm twilight palette wrapped around low couches, soft cushions, and dim lamps that cast smooth gradients across the room. Beyond the lounge, the sleeping quarters line the walls in neat order — thick blankets, carved frames, and quiet curtains that turn the space into a cool, restful retreat.
The third floor rises into a birchwood balcony ring, pale beams and soft pink tones warming the circular walkway. Lanterns reflect off the smooth railings as the entire forest stretches out beyond them — a sweeping, silent view of treetops and drifting snow. It’s the lodge’s quiet crown, built for breath, stillness, and perspective.

Tonight, the Grandfather Tree is dressed for celebration. Lanterns hang from its branches like gold ornaments on a Christmas tree, glowing soft blue, and rose.

Scattered around the Base Tree are dozens of wooden cabins, each carved into the natural curves of the forest: Some built into tree roots. Some perched on platforms. Others connected by rope bridges, and tables with tiny gardens glowing with herbs.

Between them, long wooden tables are arranged for the feast. They glow faintly — enchanted by Rose, Kathryn, and the maidens — giving off a warm, inviting light. The tables are covered with fresh linens, flower petals, wooden plates, clay cups, bowls waiting for stew, rice, and duck.

Children run between the tables, laughing. Mothers braid flowers into their daughters’ hair while men carry crates, barrels, and baskets, preparing for the feast.

The whole camp of villagers is alive with hundreds in motion: Builders finish tying the last ropes overhead, farmers bring baskets of vegetables and herbs. Hunters return with fresh game, watching the musicians tune flutes, drums, and strings. The maidens arrange flowers along the pathways alongside the cooks preparing fires and pots.
