Majestic Man - Majestic Man: A Poem of Pinta Country

Not so long ago, there

lived a boy recovering from loss

by donning the mask of his fairytale land’s

hero; a man who vowed to protect the lost prince

from evil forces who looked like demons,

smelled like demons, and tasted like demons

when they fell due to the blinding sunlight.

This man, a boy named Beck, asked himself,

“Is this really who I am?” merely after a week

on the trying job because he felt like a decomposing

corpse after every ride.

Yet, he continued to ride on his noble steed:

through forests filled with scented flowers—

all in the name of his beloved heir. No matter what,

he must protect him from those evil forces

before they can cause even more trouble

after they killed the land’s king and queen.

This land needs a hero,

and they will get one, even though the death of the boy’s dad

left a deep scar on his little fifteen-year-old heart.

Aue! The world always needs a hero.

After all, what is the joy behind a perfect,

utopian world? None, that’s it, and this hero

shall prove it. Not all fairy tales are puppies and kittens,

and he is eager to prove this

in the name of his beloved prince,

his beloved steed,

and his beloved kingdom.
