“Health Ranger, Robert Scott Bell Awarded Excellence in Health Journalism Award.” NaturalNews.N.p., n.d. Web. 26 Sept. 2016
Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, wrote this article based on the research that modern journalists use to write theirs. He explained that most of the ideas written are given by the government, and they do not fully explain the truth of a situation. In other words, the government lies. This article is similar to another one that focused its attention on the idea that the mainstream media is completely full of bunk. Journalists write about so many negative situations when there are just as many positive ideas. The point Adams is trying to make in this article is that not all news is bad, and people do not always need to hear it. Better, more positive news stories will help journalists, the mainstream, and people overall see society more as a blessing than a curse. Adams touches on everything necessary to help journalists and aspiring journalists write more positive stories than negative stories. Strangely enough, though, he blames the government for not being entirely truthful to the people. While it may be a necessary complaint in his debate, it is safe to say that the government is not totally responsible for all the junk that winds up online. Adams suggested that if people work together to become better journalists, society can thrive in ways that are not always negative, with some positive stories as well. Adams overall hopes to see more positive stories written in the future.
