In TrashWorld Tristan's house, Harold, Alia, and I sit down on a table, which did I mention was also filled with so much trash and junk.
"Ew!" Alia exclaims. "Is that a year old banana peel!?"
"It's actually three years old!" Tristan says. "Its been there since first grade!"
Except for Tristan, we all gag. Even Harold, who keeps year old orange peels.
"Anyway, time for cookies and milk!" says Tristan. "Also, by the way, I forgot I'm out of cookies."
"So nothing and milk?" Harold asks.
"Yep!" responds Tristan.
"Better than nothing!" I say.
Tristan pours milk down three glasses. The milk looks weird and gross.
"Why does the milk look so chunky?" Harold asks.
"Olive, check the expiration date!" Alia says to me.
I pick up the carton of milk.
"I think the expiration date was before I was born!" I say, disgusted.
"Gross!" Harold and Alia say at the same time, both disgusted.
I drop the milk, gagging, while Tristan just stand there, like nothing happened.

"Tristan!" Alia exclaims about the spoiled milk. "How are you not grossed out by that!"
"What's so gross about 'that', Alia!" TrashWorld Tristan says as if Alia is talking about a clean sponge.
"Everything," I say, still horrified. "Just everything."
Harold looks like he might throw up. "I think I'm ready to go home," he says. "I don't think I can last another second in this dumpster." For a hot second he looks like he is going to cry.
Trashworld Tristan just shakes his head. "Oh come on, it's not so bad," he pats Harold on the back. His eyes suddenly light up. "Oh I have an idea! Why don't we pay the president a visit? I'm sure he can answer all your questions and show you why this planet is the happiest place on earth. Come, it's just a short walk from here."
We all look at each other. I'm hesitant to see more of this world, but I'm also curious about who T.R. Ash is and why in the world does he live in a place like this. More importantly, why does his name sound like "TRASH?"
