The softer the silence, the louder it is in your ears. Silence is the time to reflect, the time to think, but it is also the time of loneliness. When we think of silence, we think of being isolated in an unfamiliar world, but pure silence — no noise, just us in the present moment.
Stop and think for a second, and you can see that silence just creates more noise: the drumming in your heart, the weird humming noise in your ears, the whirring in your computer, the chirping of birds. Where light waves can travel, there can always be noise. In this world, silence is a misconception.
Our world is full of life and laughter, but the illusion in our minds blocks out that one happy thought. A lot of people like quiet rooms to reflect, but that only happens because the brain blocks out the noise and the environment, so there are good points.
Out of our body, pure silence is just seen in space or outside in time, but to our brains, it’s everything. Silence is the mental illusion our mind creates to form risky or helpful images within it. Fear is often associated with being left in a quiet room to reflect, but sometimes it causes us to pay attention to the noise around us.
Silence and noise are two opposite things, but connected, they create a paradise — our home. The element of true life, the true life in which we live and breathe today.
