As Jayko ran through and picked the books up brazenly, we headed out to the house. The house was hardly 10 meters away so we arrived extremely quickly. When we got closer, it became clear that the house was very aged. Moss grew on the walls, vines intruding the ceiling and the roots through the floor.  The house looked normal but, I had a feeling that the room had more to it. Jayko spotted something immediately after we entered. I had a good feeling about us adventuring. Then, I spotted what he had seen. A trap door behind the ragged, yet potentially expensive couch. Jayko threw it aside and had the couch break into splinters. As he did, I walked closer, and I climbed down the ladder. As we did, I went straight down and used a sphere of light on the area. It was now lit up dimly. As I went down, I caught sight of an odd sight, a mild perturbance to the area. A small, but smaller in strength, baby slime. Accompanied by a mother slime, it attacked by launching a small amount of gel. As it hit, Jayko leapt down, taking the recoil through his muscular legs, and cast a shine of bright light abruptly. As he did, I thought of two possible options of what happened. Either he used an extremely powerful spell or attack and failed, which was most likely, or, he used a spell and successfully used it at a high level of situational proficiency.
