Don't open the door 🚪
The second I got into my car, I locked the doors. Hands shaking, I hit the garage opener. The door creaked upward painfully slowly. Too slow. Way too slow. The moment there was enough space, I backed out fast Spun the car around And my headlights hit the tree line. Right where Jerry had been staring earlier. And that’s when I saw it. Standing between the trees A figure. Tall. Too tall.
Its body was thin… unnaturally thin. Limbs stretched longer than they should’ve been. Arms hanging low, fingers extended long, crooked, almost dragging. Its skin Grey.
Lifeless. And its eyes Glowing. Not reflecting light. Glowing. My heart stopped.
Completely. For a few seconds, it didn’t move. Just stood there. Watching me. Then
It stepped back. Slowly. And disappeared behind a tree. That was worse. Much worse. Because now I didn’t know where it was.
I slammed my foot on the gas and sped out of the driveway, my vision blurring as I drove straight to my ex in-law’ s house. I didn’t care about the time. Didn’t care about anything.
I called them, my voice shaking as I told them everything.Every detail. Every second.
Kevin my ex father in-law didn’t hesitate.
“Stay where you are,” he said. “I’m coming with you.” When we returned, the woods were silent. Still. Too still. We searched with the headlights, scanning every inch of the tree line. Nothing. Like it had never been there.
They insisted I stay the night. I didn’t argue.
The next morning, I went back. Alone.
I shouldn’t have. But I needed to know. I walked slowly to the tree line. Each step felt heavier than the last. The forest stood quiet.
Watching. Waiting. I found the tree. The same one had stood behind. My chest tightened as I stepped closer. Slowly… I moved around it. And looked. Three claw marks. Deep. Long.nCarved straight into the bark. Too wide. Too deep. Too deliberate.
My breath caught. And I ran. I locked myself inside the house that day. Every door. Every window. Every possible way in. It’s been four months. I haven’t seen it again. Not once. But sometimes… Late at night… When the house is quiet… And the wind starts to howl…
I hear it. Tap. And every single time My heart stops. Because I know It remembers me.36Please respect copyright.PENANAUFpQR0xiLU
