Fifteen-year-old Theodore has spent most of his life surviving, not living. Raised in neglect and later placed in a group home, he learned early how to take care of others-and how to ignore his own needs. Now working long hours and counting down the days until he ages out of the system, Theodore has little interest in anything beyond control, routine, and getting through each day.
That is, until a chance encounter reconnects him with someone from his past-and introduces him to a psychologist offering an unconventional form of therapy designed for those who were forced to grow up too soon.
Reluctant but running out of options, Theodore is drawn into a world that challenges everything he has built to protect himself. As he struggles between independence and vulnerability, control and care, he must confront the parts of himself he buried long ago.
Because sometimes, healing means going back.
And sometimes, growing up once isn't enough.
