“Okay children! Listen well. Trees are very essential for us in every way. We must protect them for our own well-being. As children also we as adults, it is a duty to protect the earth. Do you understand now?” The homeroom teacher was teaching the first graders of the Light Bridge National School.

Dorian Vane had dived in an interesting conversation with his buddy. The giggles made the whole classroom's attention to them. Before anyone could say anything, the bell rang alarming all the time of departure.
“Oh well! I’ll let you off the hook this time. Okay kiddos! It is time to say goodbye for today...” The homeroom teacher cheerfully announced to her children.
The first graders packed up their bags, yelled “Good Bye!” to the homeroom teacher and rushed towards their parents who were impatiently waiting for their little sunflowers to come out. The little girls and boys came out from the Light Bridge National School with their flashing cheerful smiles.
“Bye Lee! Bye Ellie! Bye Susan!” Dorian shouted out to their friends when they were in their departed. Dorian flung his hand around his mother as he came towards her hugging tightly.
The hyper active little boy held his mother’s hand while they were walking home jumping up and down to seek attention of the adult. Dorian was cheerfully going through the road snatching off leaves from the trees nearby the road, kicking flower pots around, and also throwing empty bottles around and kicking them.
The environment was so busy and gray. Rings of smoke were emitting from vehicles passing by the road. People were scattering here and there as the surrounding were completely dusty.
Dorian came in to their own house changed into a casual kit and sat down to watch the latest episode of Pokémon which was his favourite. He hardly noticed his mother was feeding him lunch. He was merged completely in his own world. Unknowingly night was falling as his bedtime has arrived and day of his is going to break. The boy had his dinner and changed in his comfy pyjamas and sweetly announced “Good Night” to his mother and stacked into his big bed and cuddled to his favourite Pokémon stuffing. Dorian’s mother covered him with the blanket, kissed him on the forehead and off the light and went out. The boy dived into a deep sleep.
Suddenly, Dorian woke up feeling a bit heated! He rubbed his eyes and was shocked to see an unfamiliar peculiar surrounding. The air was thick and very hard to breath. The sky was grey. His bed was gone. He was in a rough ground. He stood up completely puzzled. The area was completely unrecognizable. His feet are hard to see as a thick fog was covering the whole ground.
Dorian took some steps forward and then he felt like he hit something. He took his step back and took a clear stare at what he stepped on.
All of a sudden, the fog started to dissolve and rows of placed stones came to view. The stone were no more than gravestones! He is in a grave! The boy stared at the stone in front of him. There he saw something what he would never expect in his lifetime to see.

and also, in the other side the words Mr. Vane was carved in the nearby stones were all belonging to his friends, neighbors, teachers.
“No...!” The boy fell onto his knees. He was completely broken down of what he saw. Tears started to fill he is completely lost as he does not know what happened here.
While all his sighs and groans were echoing around. A small fluffy hand patted on him. The boy stopped crying and swing around to see the unexpected guest at a time like this.
With the most astonishing reaction the boy stared at the figure. The boy grabbed the figure tight and cuddled it until he felt warm.
“OH! Pika...?”
The unexpected person was no other than his favorite character Pikachu. The bunny like yellow monster gave enough comfort for the boy wriggling its electric like tail.
“What happened here? Where did you come from?” Little Dorian was completely puzzled. He was wiping his little tears from his cheeks.
“You are chosen only survivor on this earth. I’ve let you and let you live to fulfill the greatest mission a person can do to this earth.” a voice echoed through the boy’s head.
“Wh... who are you? Why am I the chosen one? Why me! Why me!” The boy exclaimed to the unknown voice.
“Hear Me well boy!” The voice spoke out.
“You will know when the time comes Now! You have been chosen by all the spirits of the universe to fulfil the Earth Core mission. The Earth has been completely wiped out and day by day unenticingly people died. You are on the mission to see what was the reason and also to gain the last plant which can save the world from the Mother Earth Guardian. To reach her, you have a long way to go. First you must meet the Water Guardian and gain the holy cup of water then you need to meet the Air Guardian and gain the last bubble of breath. Then you must meet the Earth Guardian and gain the last cup of fertilizers and at last you must meet the Mother Earth Guardian and gain the ‘Last Plant’ and save the whole world again.”
“You have your friends who will assist you when you need them the most when facing hardships.”
“BUT!” said the voice seriously.
“If you fail or unable to succeed the mission , the complete world will collapse! And every hope of the spirits would go in vain. The whole earth depends on your shoulders kid. Your friend beside you will lead the way. Good luck then...” The voice started to fade slowly.
“But... b..ut...” began the boy with a trembling voice.
“But will I be able, do it? Will I be able to save the world? AM, I QUALIFIED?”
“It’s up to you to find...” the voice disappeared completely.
The boy looked down. The little shadow was beautifully carved on the hard ground. The boy was in thought.
After some time, he was interrupted by a Pikachu’s sound which was a bit far away. Time passed, both of them reached to a certain ocean area. It was not like a water source but more like a death trap. The liquid was bubbling and the stink was far more worser. There were skeletons of innocent animals stacked along one side of the coast. There was garbage everywhere in the coast.
The boy watched the horrifying view the Pikachu was also following the boy’s gestures figuring out what to do. How could a normal boy who is just wearing pyjamas cross such a thing?
There was no more time to spare as destruction struck! A huge wave started coming towards their direction at terrifying speed. No option to do, the boy carried the small monster and started to run. But the wave was so close to them now.
While the two of them cuddled themselves, a medium size figure came to view and spat a huge range of water attack on the wave backing it off safeguarding them.
The boy opened his eyes and saw a familiar figure. “Squirtle?” The boy exclaimed.
Their savior this time was the water monster Squirtle. The monster gave a friendly face at the boy and it created a huge water bubble which they were inside.
The bubble floated through the acid ocean and safely crossed through it. They reached their first checkpoint! The two monsters waited and gestured the boy to stand on the round rock surface where a symbol was carved.
A sudden beam of light was emitted and the boy came into a new dark room. There was a huge blue flame. It started to speak with a glow.
“You have reached your first barrier. I am the guardian of all waters. To gain your required treasure you have to first pass from my question...” said the water guardian.
“Ok! My question is what was the reason for the situation which was unfolded in front of you and how do you prevent this?”
Little Dorian went into a deep thought for some time and gave his answer.
"Water is an essential resource for us and without water we cannot live. The reason for this is because people throw rubbish to various water sources. This has made the water to pollute as the way my teacher told... so we must not put anything to water and protect animals living inside them.”
The water guardian went silent for a while and said,
“There, you have learned your part. You pass my test. Then here is your award. The holy cup of water. Pour it on the last plant when you find it.”
The boy gained the first thing he needed and was very happy about it. He returned to the stone surface and went to hear the monsters to show his reward.
The happy little boy went on while the Pikachu led the road to the next barrier.
They were already entering a vast stretch of deserted land. There was enough proof to tell that once this was a civilized area from the ruins of small monuments. There were huge destroyed building which seemed to be like factories. They went forward across the land seeing all the horrible scenes. When they were reaching towards the middle the air was barely hard to breath and the sun was completely burning them.
Suddenly the atmosphere changed. There was a huge dust like view coming from ahead at their direction. The more near it came it seemed to be more dangerous. It was a dust storm! Not any ordinary one but something that completely destroy things which it encounters!
“OH! RUN!” Dorian screamed out moving backwards. The two monsters were also unable to do anything. The storm was now at their very back. They were already being lifted by the strong force. The boy grabbed tightly on a small dead tree truck without being taken away by the storm.
The boy’s hands slipped! They were out of control! Dorian closed his eyes.
But without being taken away he felt he was being dragged away and now he was sitting on something. The boy opened his eyes and was shocked to see they were above the ground! They were flying! The boy bent down to see who was carrying all three of them. Another familiar figure for the boy as he yelled out ‘Pidgeot’.
Yes. It was none other than the flying bird monster Pidgeot. The bird gave a friendly wink at him and then it became serious. It spread its huge wings backward and brought forward with a powerful wind force and its powerful shrills made the wind storm destroy completely.
The boy was relieved. The bird flew through the sky forward and near to the next round stone. The boy went and stood on it. Again, the light beam emerged and he came into a dark room. This time it was a white flame in front of him. It started to speak.
“You have reached your second destination. I am the guardian of Air protecting all beings. The treasure you require can only be gained if you can answer my question correctly.” The guardian said.
“Ok! My question is what is the reason for all of this and what can you do to prevent this?”
The boy thought again for a while and gave his answer.
“Well... we must protect trees and plant more to keep the earth green and also to have good air to breathe. We must not pollute the air by burning rubbish and also emitting polluted air from factories and vehicles. We can have clean air by doing nature friendly actions or else we won’t be able to breath and also the world will die...”
The white light lit up shining and a small bubble-like thing came in front.
“You passed me. You have learned your lessons. Here take your reward... 'The last bubble of breath'. When you reach to the last plant put this around it and it will grow safely.”
The boy collected his reward and came back to his Pokémon friends. Squirtle kept the reward safely inside its mouth.
They went forward as the Pikachu lead them the way. Now the atmosphere was very hot. It was barely to move. The surrounding is completely filled with garbage and plastics, trash. Lifeless dead trees were everywhere. They were entering into a narrow path where mountains of trash were stacked alongside.
While they were passing, they heard a soft growl from the front. Nothing was unusual until a dark figure came down in a huge speed and stood in front of them. It was the most ridiculous thing anyone could see in the world.
It was a monster. Not some normal monster. But a monster made out of plastics. Every single part was created from plastic. It had sharp jaw like teeth and it was huge at least the whole side of a mountain. It roared out shaking the whole ground. It made plastic eye goggles which was a bit funny.
It came and grabbed Dorian by its plastic claw.
“Save me!” the boy shouted out. The Pikachu and the other monsters were off guarded. At once the bunny like rabbit charged to the monster. Pidgeot used its air attack to slash the claw of the monster to free Dorian. The boy was saved by the bird. Pikachu created its unique electric ball and charged at the monster completely shattering it into pieces.
There was another and another. One by one the Pikachu destroyed and saved all of them.
After passing through the trash mountain, they came to the third-round stone. Dorian again went up and stood on it. The bright light emitted and he entered a dark room. This time it was a brown flame. It spoke.
“I am soul of the earth behold the Earth Guardian.You have reached your third destination. I thought you have already died by those monsters...” The flame spoke out with an annoying manner.
“Whatever, you have to answer my question first to gain your reward. If you are not able to answer my question correctly, you can’t be able to get it...” The guardian said seriously.
“Now answer me. What can we do to stop what has happened now and how can we keep this without happening?”
The boy gave out his answer,
“We can plant more trees to keep the earth green and we can also cut trees if we need for something important and also plant two or more trees for one and plastics can be used too. We can’t stop them and also take action on them?”
The spirits yelled out.
“YOUR ANSWER DO NOT CLARIFY ABOUT THE LESSON YOU HAVE GONE THROUGH. YOU FAIL...”
The boy spoke out.
“WAIT! We can do recycling for non-perishable materials if they are unable to use without throwing them away to the environment and also, we can reduce plastic bags and materials by using paper or reusable cloth bags which are nature friendly.”
The brown flame burst out and the ‘cup of fertilizers’ came into view. It was a cup made out of a lotus leaf similar to the holy cup of water.
“Here is your reward. You have learned your lesson. Use this fertilizer to the last mother plant and plant it...”
The boy gained the third reward and came back towards his monster friends. Squirtle took it back safely on its mouth.
They started going to their last destination of their mission. While they were going, they felt like the floor was very weird. While they were walking on a ground where not a single tree was to be seen, the floor started to crack!
The floor gave up and they started falling inside to a deep pit. Beneath at the very bottom they were able to see a huge pool of lava. They were helpless. The force was too much to anyone to act. The boy gave out a small sigh and closed his eyes.
But after some time, they felt like they weren't falling anymore. They were like floating. Dorian opened his eyes and saw they were floating in mid-air!
“You came so far. This time I will save you and assist in completing your mission.”
The previous voice which spoke to them appeared in front of them. The purple colour figure was floating. The boy recognized him as ‘Mew two’. The monster was using its telepathy all the time to instruct the boy on his mission. Mew two lifted them up and carried near the last round stone.
Dorian climbed up and he entered the dark room. This time there was a green flame where flowers and vines were growing beautifully around.
“You have entered the last stage of your mission. I am the Mother Earth Guardian who guard the last mother plant. If you need to gain it, you have to first answer my question.”
The guardian spirit spoke out.
“What have you learned through all of this?”
It was a very simple question. The boy gave his answer.
“We must protect the nature. Without nature we cannot live. Nature is everything. We belong to the nature. So, we must love nature and protect it. We must stop polluting it and also stop others from doing so.”
The green spirit gave a good cheerful tone.
“You have learned your lesson child! You have passed the mission. You are truly a chosen one of the nature.”
The spirit spoke out merrily.
“Here is your reward. Take it and plant it on the soil by using the other resources you have. Good luck Hero...”
The boy came back with the last mother plant in his hand. He was very happy about the lesson he has learned.
The monsters gathered around and the boy planted the mother tree using fertilizers and poured the holy cup of water then used the bubble of air to cover it.
The plant was very alive and it slowly started to grow. On and on small plants sprouted from the ground.
But suddenly, everything started to shake and the whole world collapsed and it went dark.
“No!” Leo woke up from his bed completely frightened. He was sweating heavily and breathing heavily. His mother was beside him.
“Dorian sweety! What happened?” Mrs. Vane was completely confused. “Oh! Finally, you woke up.”
Dorian held on to his mother and hugged her tight! It was a dream! What a nightmare and adventure he has gone through.
That day at school Dorian gave a splendid speech on protecting the nature and he got the first prize for it. The boy loved the nature more and more and protected it without destroying it. All thanks to his Pokémon monsters and his dream!
