Kori Vance, an intelligent detective, moved into Grayhaven after going through a lot of things in the city she used to live in. There was a pile of paper on her team's desk. The strange thing was, it was all about ONE case.
The Housebound Killer case of six years ago. People were brutally murdered by an unidentified man. Five of their fingers were missing, their nails had been pulled off fully, part of their hair was cut off. 
Then the murders randomly stopped. The victim's body parts were found in a man's house, but the man was missing. The police closed the case and presumed that the man was dead.
No one knew the motive behind the murderer's actions. It was clear he was leaving a message, but the message stayed in the shadows, uncovered.
It stopped for six years, till Kori gets the message that someone was brutally murdered, the same exact way the previous murders happened. The case is reopened, and it lies in the hand of Kori's team.
The more she finds out, the bigger the danger and the more complicated it gets. The puzzle pieces don't fit together. Some lies snuck in between.
