The Last Known Photograph
Believed to have been taken during late August 2018, at Kijabe Station, shortly before departure for the Maasai Mara, this image is regarded as the last known photograph of Demi Lovato alive. Standing beside her at right is fellow WE volunteer Selena Gomez. The photographer is believed to have been a local Kenyan journalist, though this has never been definitively confirmed.
In the years that followed, the photograph came to be viewed not simply as a travel snapshot but as the final quiet moment before her disappearance, death, and the crisis that followed.
