Chapter XII: Preparations
Another school day as the students of the University of the Constellations passes through the grand halls and columns of their respective department buildings. However, what is striking most in this week is that many staff are now hanging banners for the upcoming Starlight Festival. But students needed some requirements in order to pass safety and to be secured in the university.
At the Special Power and Defense Class, Hajime enters to orient them again. Upon entering,
"Good Morning my dear students. There was an announcement made by the President of the University. In lieu of the upcoming Starlight Festival, all freshmen students must have their ID cards."
Hajime then flashes a map on the TV which is the whole university. It zooms into the Aquarius District of the University where they are located, then going deeper, into their 5-storey building, the Sadalmelik (Alpha Aqr.) Building which is the high school building. It then turns 3D.
"As a matter of fact, it would be difficult enough if the university have one place to procure an ID card. Whereas, a machine would manufacture the ID Card. That is why, in our District here in the University, there are 3 designated place to get your ID. In the Sadalmelik (Alpa Ar.) Building, our High School building, you can now go and have your ID Card produced at the Library on the 3rd Floor. Just state your name, grade, department, district, and section. And from there, moving on to your personal information, like contact number of your parents, and your address. Then you'll have your picture taken. However, in order to make the process easier, it would be by class. And the time for this class to go there, will be later before lunch, 10:30am. Just be ready, get some powder, put a dab on your faces but not too much since the flash might get you whiter. Alright students? Ok. And by the way, I forgot to ask. How are you all doing so far? Any hands? I forgot, we haven't elected your class officers. I'll be the chair. The position for Class President and Representative is now open." (Hajime)
Kuebiko raises his hand, and stands up once called.
"Sir chairman, I respectfully nominate Takeshi Yukimura for Class Rep," Kuebiko says.
Kuebiko sits down, and Hajime writes the name on the whiteboard.
"Ok, anymore nominees?", Hajime asks.
Miku raises her hand, and stands up once called.
"Sir chairman, I respectfully nominate Arita Yoshimochi.
Miku sits down, and Hajime writes the name on the whiteboard.
"Alright, anymore nominees? No more everyone? Someone should close the nomination." (Hajime)
Haruto stands up,
"Sir chairman, I move the nomination to be closed.", he says.
Haruto sits down, and Hajime begins to ask.
"Mm-hmm, who are in favor of Takeshi Yukimura? May I see hands?" (Hajime)
About 11 students raise their hands.
"How about Arita Yoshimochi?" (Hajime)
13 Students raise their hands, in favor of Arita.
"Alright, congratulations Special Power and Defense Class, your first Class President and Representative is Arita Yoshimochi. May you please come up here and take the floor in continuing to elect your officers." (Hajime)
The class applauds and as Arita comes up in front, she shakes Hajime's hand.
"Good Morning everyone, let us now continue with our election. The position for Vice Class President is open, any nominees?", Arita says with a smile.
Nakao raises his hand, and stands up once called.
"Madam chairman, I respectfully nominate Aoto Abe for Vice Class President.", he says
Nakao sits down, and Arita writes the name on the whiteboard.
"Anymore nominees?" (Arita)
Otake raises her hands, and stands up once called.
"Madam chairman, I respectfully nominate Fujima Ienubo for Vice Class President.", she says.
Otake sits down, and Arita writes the name on the whiteboard.
"Anymore? No? Please close the nomination." (Arita)
Kuebiko raises his hand and stands up once called.
"Madam chairman, I move the nomination to be closed.", he says.
Kuebiko sits down.
"Hmm, who is in favor of Aoto Abe?" (Arita)
10 students raise their hands.
"Who is in favor of Fujima Ienubo?" (Arita)
14 students raise their hands.
"Alright, our Vice Class President, is Fujima Ienubo.", Arita says.
"Now for the last spot, it's the secretary, in which if the Class President and Vice Class President are busy, then there's no other option than the Secretary." (Hajime)
"But sir, what if the Secretary will also be preoccupied?" (Arita)
"Hmm, then I'll go or someone in your class would go." (Hajime)
Arita nods, and continues the election.
"The position for Class Secretary is open. Any nominees?" (Arita)
Kuebiko raises his hand, and stands up once called.
"Madam chairman, I respectfully nominate Takeshi Yukimura for Class Secretary." (Kuebiko)
Kuebiko sits down, and Arita write the name on the whiteboard.
"Any other nominees?" (Arita)
Okaki raises his hand, and stands up once called again.
"Madam chairman, I respectfully nominate Aoto Abe for Class Secretary." (Okaki)
Kuebiko sits down, and Arita write the name on the whiteboard.
"Any other nominees? Everyone? Anymore? Ok." (Arita)
Hageshi raises his hand and stands up once called.
"Madam chairman, I move the nomination to be closed", he says.
Hageshi sits down.
"Alright, who is in favor of Takeshi Yukimura?" (Arita)
15 Students raise their hands.
"Who is in favor of Aoto Abe?"
The rest raise their hands.
"Our Class Secretary is Takeshi Yukimura." (Arita)
"Ok now, that wraps up our Class Officer Elections. So for later 10:30am, Class President, please give this paper to your subject teacher later, I think that would be Dr. Ruma, your English. Class Vice President, please check if all of them are present, and Class Secretary distribute the cards that the library will give to you. Just tell them that all of you are getting an ID Cards, tell them how many students, and your grade and section. Alright, that would be all everyone, please wait for your next teacher. Have a nice day." (Hajime)
Since their teacher for the next subject won't be coming as the teacher had told them in their Messenger group chat, the students chatter sound like a busy market again. Some chat about memes, some try phone filters, and some just played Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. Ryujin, Inoshiro, Hageshi, and Haruto play and watch memes on YouTube.
"Dude, have you've seen this meme? It's hilarious!", Hageshi says.
"Lemme see, I wanna see", Ryujin says.
However, he gets rickrolled. Haruto and Hageshi laughs.
"Jokes on both of you, I'm into that stuff!", Ryujin says confidently.
Then after that, is their recess. Afterwards, is their class with Dr. Ruma.
"So, Verb tenses are always crucial in the formation of sentences." Dr. Ruma says, as she writes on the whiteboard.
Arita raises her hands, and gives her a paper about the ID Card.
"Oh my bad, good luck my dears.", Dr. Ruma says.
The students go out of the class room and go to the third floor at the Highschool Library, Fujima evaluates their attendance, and Takeshi plays his part.
At lunch, many students are helping the staff to put banners and streamers for the Starlight Festival.
After lunch, they go back to the classroom again. Dr. Aoshima's subject again, but Hajime comes in to give a quick announcement.
"Good Afternoon, my dear students, the Starlight Festival will also have its Intramural Games in it. And, we will be requiring you all to purchase your own Intramural Shirt. Each student will pay 150 Yen for it." (Hajime)
Each student pays 150 Yen for their shirt, Hajime notes on their sizes.
Then, just a couple of minutes of going out, and since Dr. Aoshima isn't yet there, he distributes the Intramurals Shirt, with the color lime-green and blue combination. After a tiring afternoon, they all go home.
