One day while I was playing at the Basketball court are coach had told us to run a few rounds around while passing the ball to our partner, when I saw the boy I was partnered with , I felt my heart race , he had really beautiful amber eyes , they sparkled in the sunlight , he looked at me , and then he said , you are pretty, my mouth forgot how to speak, but then I saw the coach was about to blow his whistle , he blew his whistle , and everyone started running , after 10 rounds most of us were out of breath , and then coach let us all relax for a bit , the boy asked me my name , I said Uma, and asked for his name harry ,after a week of interactions and a few compliments .and most of people started shipping us , but I had to leave playing Basketball , after a month I had my final exams .
After my final exams, I thought I would go back to playing basketball, but I never found the time. School got busier, and before I knew it, everything had changed. I later found out that our coach had stopped teaching basketball, and it felt like that part of my life had quietly ended.
One day at a party, I saw him again. My heart immediately started racing. The lights were flashing, music was loud, but all I could see was him. He looked at me too, and for a second it felt just like old times. I wondered if he was still in my school. I tried to find him in the crowd, but he disappeared before I could talk to him.
After that, I kept looking around at school, hoping to see him again, but I never did.
Then I graduated and went to college. I thought maybe he was just a memory. But one day on campus, I accidentally bumped into someone. My books fell, and when I looked up, I saw those familiar amber eyes.
It was him.
he came up to me and said. hi Uma
hi Harry. I said
College was normal at first. I made a lot of new friends, stayed busy with classes, and slowly got used to my new life. Even though I was happy, a small part of me still remembered him sometimes.
One night, after a college party, while everyone was laughing and saying their goodbyes, I saw him standing a little distance away. My heart instantly began to race again. It felt unreal, like I was dreaming.
This time, he didn’t disappear.
He walked up to me, looking nervous. “I… I… I like you,” he said, stumbling over his words.
For a second, I just stared at him, my heart pounding in my chest. Then I smiled.
“Me too,” I said.
And in that moment, everything felt like it had finally fallen into place.
A few days after we confessed, he asked me out to a lake view park near campus. When I arrived, the sky was dark and filled with stars, and the moon reflected softly on the calm water. The night air was cool, and everything felt peaceful and quiet.
He was standing near the railing, waiting for me. When he saw me, he smiled, and my heart skipped a beat.
We walked along the path beside the lake, talking about everything — how we used to look for each other, how strange it felt to finally be here together. The lights along the walkway cast a soft glow around us.
Eventually, we stopped near the water. The lake shimmered under the moonlight, and for a moment, neither of us spoke. He looked at me in that same gentle way, but this time there was no hesitation.
“I’ve wanted to do this for a long time,” he said quietly.
Before I could overthink, he slowly moved closer. My heart was racing, but I didn’t step back. He gently cupped my face, giving me a chance to pull away — but I didn’t.
And then he kissed me.
It wasn’t rushed or dramatic. It was soft and warm and felt like everything we had waited for. The world seemed to disappear — no noise, no worries, just us and the moonlit lake.
When we pulled away, we both smiled, a little shy but completely happy.
And under that quiet night sky, it finally felt like our story had truly begun.
