Dante: Wait, she never came here?
Boutique Receptionist: No, Lea de Santos hasn’t logged into her Boutique Crown account today. Which is weird because every Saturday, around this time, she would have been waltzing around choosing clothes that aren’t too top notch but were quite expensive. (chuckles)
Dante: That’s weird. May I see your outside security cameras?
Boutique Receptionist: Sorry. You have to come here with a police’s search warrant first.
Dante: (mutters: Damn it.) Thank you so much for your help. (drops a huge bundle of money on her desk) For the road.
Boutique Receptionist: (gasps) Thank you! Arigato! Gracias! Good luck on the road! (Dante smiles and leaves, closing the door behind him.) Oh, I love having rich customers... I become rich myself. (chuckles) That said, I really hope nothing bad has happened to Lea, she’s my best customer...(sighs)

Dante walked to his car, feeling a little frustrated. If Lea never came to the Boutique, then...where did she go to? Unfortunately, he didn’t know her much so he didn’t know a hoot about anywhere she would’ve gone apart from the Boutique on such a day as this. He tried calling her once, then twice, then thrice...fifty times within fifty minutes. He was about calling again when he stopped. What’s wrong with me? Not even her ex(if she even had one) would bugger her like this, he reckoned. He entered his car and laid his head on the steering wheel.
Dante: Relax, Dante. Maybe she’s just throwing a tantrum somewhere. (his phone dings) Huh, a text? From whom? (checks) Lea?
(Phone text)
Lea: Dante, what are you, a freak?! Why have you called me so many times?! My phone is basically blowing up with missed call notifications!
Dante: I’m sorry, Lea. I was worried about you since you weren’t at the boutique.
Lea: Well, that still does not mean call me every minute. Anyways, the driver noticed our little squabble so...he’s sending me somewhere to, you know, release tension.
Dante: Release tension?!
Lea: No, not what you’re thinking, you dirty-minded individual. He’s taking me to an amusement park.
Dante: Oh sorry. Well, where’s this...amusement park at?
Lea: I don’t know, the driver said it’s a surprise.
Dante: Lea, I’m really sorry to ask, but are you dumb? How could you not know where you’re going like that? At least, what area are you at?
Lea: Look, all I know is what we just left Gangnam and we’re heading toward Jamsil.
Dante: Make sure to inform me when you get there. I am pretty sure he’s sending you to Lotte World.
Lea: Lotte World? Never heard of it. Anyways, I’ll text you soon. When I get there. And oh, don’t think I have forgiven you yet.
Dante: I’m sorry. Text me soon, ok? And also, if the driver starts acting suspicious, get out of the car immediately, hear me?
Lea: Ok.

Dante sighed and put his phone back into his pocket. His fingers tapped on the wheel, deep in thought. He then shrugged, started the car and drove away.
(In the evening, at Dante’s house...)
Dante: Has Lea reached home by now? Let me text her.
(Phone text)
Dante: Lea, you home yet? Please give me a call when you see this text.

He took a bottle of coke from the fridge and sat down, waiting for her response. 30 minutes passed, and there was no reply. He tried sipping the coke but spat it out as he realized he had no appetite.
An hour.
Three hours.
Midnight.
Still no reply. By this time, Dante would have been fast asleep but he was still in the chair, rocking back and forth and staring at his phone, muttering like a madman. He was actually praying silently so as to not disturb his family members. “Please, Lord, let Lea be alright. Wherever she is, please let her text me. Please. I’m so worried about her...I feel so guilty. Lord, please...” He repeated this till he fell asleep.
Waking up the next morning, which was a Sunday, he checked his phone again. Still no reply. She hadn’t even read it. He said a short prayer and went to church. After church, he decided to pass by Lea’s house. ‘Enough is enough’, he said to himself as he drove. When he got there, the gatekeepers asked him the code. Because he didn’t know, he just asked them if Lea came home the previous day. They shook their heads and waved him away. Dante decided to leave it at that. If she didn’t come home yesterday, her parents are probably looking for her anyway. With this, he calmed down and sat back in his car, driving towards home.
