This work is a philosophical novel based on a series of dialogues between a young woman and a Zen master.
It is the English edition of Watashi no Satori Report (「私の悟りレポート」), originally published in Japan by Gentosha in 2023.
A complete English edition is available separately; this page presents selected excerpts from the work.
Through six days of dialogue with the Zen master, Kyōko gradually comes to understand enlightenment not as an abstract concept, but as a living, transformative experience in everyday life.
She discovers that awakening is not confined to Zen alone, but resonates with the wisdom of Laozi, Jesus, and seekers of truth across cultures and ages.
Rather than offering fixed answers or doctrine, this story invites readers to quietly reflect on the nature of consciousness, self, and awakening.
