I clapped my hands, dissolving the Avatar and snapping back into the Core. The emotional moment was over. We had work to do.
Lilith snapped to attention. Gub stopped sweeping. Seraphina leaned against the wall, crossing her arms.
"We have survived the hostile takeover," I announced, my voice booming. "But Vane is still out there. He’s going to run to the capital. He’s going to lobby the Gods. He’s going to try to regulate us out of existence."
I pulled up the dungeon blueprint.
"We need to pivot. The 'Tourist Trap' model is done. We need to be something they can't destroy."
"What are we going to be?" Lilith asked, pen hovering over her clipboard.
I looked at the map. I looked at the Kingdom of Aethelgard, with its starving peasants, its greedy nobles, and its corrupt Church. They were all drowning in debt. They were all looking for a way out.
I wasn't just a dungeon anymore. I was a bank. A bank that didn't play by their rules.
"We’re going to franchise," I said.
I focused on the map, highlighting the other dormant dungeon cores scattered across the kingdom.
"We’re going to find every failing, debt-ridden dungeon in this sector. We’re going to acquire them. We’re going to unionize the monsters. And we’re going to offer the adventurers a deal the Church can't match."
I looked at my new status screen.

"Get the shovels, Gub," I ordered. "We’re breaking ground on the expansion."
The world thought the crash was the end. They were wrong. It was just the grand opening.
I checked the time. 11:59 PM.
"Meeting adjourned," I said. "Now, let’s go make some money."
