That's the thing right? If you don't make it, you didnt work hard enough. 

Perhaps that's what this all is.

Perhaps my best isn't enough after all.

Perhaps what I did in the past two years wasn't my best at all.

Perhaps I'm so twisted and broken inside that I can't even make out what I've done at all.

All this time.

Did I work?

Or was it pretend?

A false reality, that I often built to charm others, i built for myself. 

To console myself. 

Our greatest enemy is us.

I am my own ruin.
