What God is this,

That my father speaks of?

Spending hours within the congregation,

Speaking of circumcision and Consecration.

What commandments are these,

That is too hard to follow?

A path i will make for myself,

As the wind blows, where my desire flows, there will I be carried.

The gods of heaven, that turn not a stern eye, will I follow.

Their alters, with my hands, I will rebuild.

I will lead this nation,

As I please, for I am the king.

Why consult a God I cannot see?

To baal, I am more keen,

What is the Lord that I must be mindful of?

Who is Jehovah, that I must tremble and fear?

In His temple, would I erect a symbol.

Within His courts,

Would I establish my alters.

Who would question my decision,

And who, would refute my requests?

To eyes that cannot see and mouths unable to speak.

The mediums knew his name,
