I feel the water soaking into my lungs.

Leaves dance on the wind,

Taunting me,

As if I had the air to twirl and dip.

I feel your hand on my shoulder,

And the water seeps out of my lungs.

Color returns and I’m standing on the train platform again.

My legs feel strong,

Strong enough to dance to the autumn breeze.
