During the flight, Chandellor whispers to Veem.
“Keep a watchful eye behind us,” Chandellor whispered.
“Understood,” Veem nodded and raise the hearing aid even further.
Veem hears a flapping sound behind them from afar. He turns back and looks closely with his eyes. His keen eyes see a boy with glowing red eyes, reddish blue hair, tan skin, red tail with a sharp end, and harpy wings.
“A Valkyrie boy is chasing us!!” Veem shouted in panic.
“Valkyrie?! Morgan! Faster!” Summoner commanded.
Morgan obeys and flies faster, but the Valkyrie boy keeps up with them.
“Oh no...!” Pandora said.
The Valkyrie boy shoots them with his fanged bow and arrows on Morgan. Morgan keeps dodging the arrows.
“He’s aiming for the bird!” Lila exclaimed.
“Wait, let me handle this,” Summoner said. He stands on Morgan and jumps down.
“Summoner!” Everyone exclaimed.
Summoner switches into raven form and attacks the boy’s hand.
“Gah!” The boy screamed in pain and missed his shot.
Summoners keep blocking the boy’s sight.
“Get away, stupid raven!” the boy yelled, flailing his arms on Summoner.
“Hope this works,” Chandellor creates a big fireball on his hand.
“Summoner!” Chandellor warned.
Summoner turns his eyes on Chandellor and flies away when Chandellor throws a large fireball at the boy, burning him.
“Ow, hot! I will get you next time!” The Valkyrie boy flung himself to the sea to extinguish the fire.
“Never come back again!” Veem said. Summoner returns as human and give a high five with Chandellor.
“I got him!” Summoner said.
“Good job,” Chandellor said.
Morgan screeches once they’re near the base.
“We’re here!” Veem said.
“The Ancient Tower!” Summoner said.
As they arrived, the tower had been abandoned long after Amy’s disappearance. Entering the tower, they didn’t see anyone in there.
“What happened here? It’s too quiet,” Summoner commented.
A young alien carrying a broom walks downstairs and sees them.
“Summoner?” the alien asked.
Summoner has forgotten the alien’s face.
“Zoe? Is that you?” Summoner asked.
“Yes, it’s me. How long has it been? You forgot my face,” Zoe said as he walks down the stair to the floor.
“Where’s everyone?” Pandora asked.
“Everyone? They left the tower long after Amy went missing. Especially since we got attacked by invisible shadow monsters 3 years ago for an entire year, everyone abandoned the tower after we stopped them all for a year and I had to fend them off alone over here for the last 2 years after everyone left this place,” Zoe explained as he kept sweeping the floor.
A splashing sound of water from the sea near the tower is heard.
“(Sigh) what is it again this time?” Zoe sighed and dropped his broom while heading to the splashing sound.
He has become bored and tired of the endless attack. Everyone sees a man jump from the river nearby the tower. The man has bluish skin, bluish white membrane shaped like stingray on both side of his head making him looks like a cobra, blue short hair ended in sting-shaped and gills both side of his neck.
“I’m here to take the Ancient Tower under my master’s order,” the man said.
Zoe comes forward with a tired face and looks at the man’s physical characteristic.
“I know that sting and the membrane traits...You’re a Pariman, a human with stingray physical characteristic. My people used to capture you as research for every species there are on Fauryth. Let me guess, you’re here to assassinate me for the tower,” Zoe stated.
“Hmph, I will also take my revenge on you for abducting my kin. And since you’re not alone, I might as well kill you all with my tail,” the PariMan said, pointing his knife to everyone.
“I knew it,” Zoe groaned with tired face.
“Watch out, his tail-braid has deadly sting of a ray,” Pandora pointed out when he scanned the Pariman.
The Pariman swings his braid on everyone, relying on the venomous needle on the side of his braid. Everyone dodges the braid, and Pandora throws his materialized plasma spear to the man. The man jumps over the spear and hit Pandora’s with the sting. Pandora defends himself using his own hand.
“Gyah!” Pandora exclaimed in pain and fell to the ground.
“Pandora!” Zoe exclaimed.
Zoe warps behind the PariMan and cut the left membrane with his red Veran sword.
“Agh! My left earfin! I will get you next time!” the PariMan jumped into the water and dive away painfully.
Lila dives into the water to chase the Pariman but he has gone far.
“He is gone! I can’t chase him. He’s too fast,” Lila returned and emerged from the water.
As Lila slithers to the land, Summoner tends to Pandora’s wound.
“Are you alright, Pandora? Looks like you got stung by that stingray man,” Summoner said.
Pandora sees his wounded hand and notices corrosion on his arm caused by the venom. Summoner tried to heal Pandora by chanting his magic and rub his dark magic on Pandora’s stung hand.
“It’s no use, I can’t heal the poisoned wound with my dark magic,” Summoner said.
“Let me heal him,” Lila slithered forward.
“Lila? Can you really heal my hand?” Pandora asked.
“Yes, I can, my dear,” Lila said.
She mumbles a chant and a blue venom drip from the scimitar. She gives some drop of the blue venom to Pandora’s wound, and it healed quickly.
“Wow...It healed! Thank you, Lila,” Pandora said.
“It’s siren healing specialty. I will do anything for my children. (Chuckle) Even if you’re not truly my children,” Lila hugged Pandora.
Seeing that, Summoner says,” Man, I’m jealous. I wish my mother was still alive, too bad that she’s gone”.
“What a loving mother. I bet she love us all too...aside of Amy,” Chandellor said.
“Probably,” Veem said.
“Still...it’s my first time seeing his kind. What is he? All my life living on ZTA Alpha tinkering with technology and weapon...I have never seen something like him. He’s neither human nor robot,” Zoe said with a wonder.
“You have never seen my kind before? Allow me to explain myself. I am an Andromeda, a type of android built with AI and memory of former deceased human,”Pandora explained to Zoe.
“When did you realize that you are not a human?” Zoe asked him.
“After I woke up from my slumber. I don’t know why they created me but I do know that humans created me. When I wake up, I saw the remain of two humans in lab coat. They must have died long before I woke up. I got my name from a man who was barely alive at the name muttering the word “Pandora”. I used that as my name since,” Pandora told Zoe everything about him.
“I heard news about a group of BeastMan eliminating almost every last bit of technology that we have managed to achieve for million years. They must have raided the lab where you were born but didn’t notice your existence because they hid you from them,” Veem remembered.
“I only remember seeing broken cables hanging on the lab’s ceiling from my position after I woke up,” Pandora put his hands on his forehead.
“That must be it! You were still in hibernation supported by those cables on the ceiling. That’s why the Beastmen didn’t notice you. Because they didn’t thoroughly search the lab during their raid. If they had....they would have pulled you down from those cables holding you on the ceiling and destroyed you,” Veem guessed.
“Maybe you’re right. Right now, I will try to find every information about myself. Also, this entire journey was a good start for me. Who knows...maybe I will find more about myself later as we keep going,” Pandora said.
