Fifteen year old Kayla Griffin is in the middle of her freshman year at Davidson High School, already immersed into the dark pool of suffering. She navigates relationships, family, grades, and her mental illnesses at her little town in western Pennsylvania. As she’s been stuck in her darkness for a while now, she searches for a light. At times, she believes she won’t live to see the day of her sophomore year. Will she end up finding her light she’s desperately searching for—or will she end up leaving the world with her own blood in her hands, leaving behind just a whisper in the darkness?
