Phillup’s wife, or if you want to call her by her actual name, Steva, sat on the deck outside of the house. She was on a rocking chair, awaiting for Phillup and Jarre to return. She waited there for a while rocking back and forth. They hadn’t returned. This wasn’t the first time Phillup had done some crazy get rich scheme. He always believed there was money to gain from every possible market, and yet, was too stupid to actually capitalize on that market. Perhaps, in one of his stupid ideas, he got into trouble. Perhaps she should check that out. But, she couldn’t leave Tord, her son, behind. What if he needed something? What if he suddenly convulsed and died? Either it was her son or her husband. She grimaced, then looked blankly in thought. Her husband was a capable man, it's not like he was killed or anything, no that would be preposterous. She entered the house again, and got into her room. She got on her nightshirt and slipped under the covers. A shrill cry echoed through from the room next to her as she was about to drift asleep. She bolted from her bed, the boards creaking loudly as she got into the room next to hers. She creaked open the red door and entered. In the cradle, Tord was crying. She picked up Tord and hugged him tight as he cried loudly.41Please respect copyright.PENANAuhJbyOOaYy
She woke up. She had put Tord back to sleep hours ago. She stepped around the house, looking for Phillup. He wasn’t home. She decided to go report it to the police. But, g*mes, the horses were taken by Phillup and Jarre. She would have to walk. That would take too long to leave Tord by himself. Perhaps she could stay for one more day. One more day. She began making tea in the kitchen, and when she finished she went back outside and sipped it. She heard some thudding as a black horse ran up to her house. A brown horse followed it. The black horse had a large gash in its side, and when it stopped at the house, it fell over. She set her tea down and looked at the horses. They had saddles, and they were the same color of horses Phillup and Jarre owned. Wait. That was their horses. Something had happened. The horses stopped at the house. Something had spooked them. NO MATTER! She got on one of the horses and rode off into town.
