**Song: Back to Friends by Sombr**
Why, oh why did it happen this way? We were just friends! Our dynamic and routines are all just messed up now!83Please respect copyright.PENANAESLme61Csv
Let me explain.
I'm Sternenstaub, but everybody calls me Star. I really only have one friend, Okeanos (but I call him Keano). I'm autistic and I have POTS (sudden changes in my blood sugar levels), so making friends with people is the hardest thing ever. People make fun of me by calling me names like robot or AI. Everyone calls him metal. You think that's cool, but in reality it's just to make fun of him prosthetic arm and leg. He's also got SCD (social communication disorder), so we're both pretty disabled. We've always gotten by just the two of us, disabled people being made fun of.
We have a close relationship. We share in many routines, special interests, and are accountability partners. We basically own the guest rooms in each other's houses. It's always been like that. My parents always assume he's going to be at our house, and I bet his parents feel the same way.
It happened one mundane Saturday. Every Saturday we spend hours playing Fortnite and watching My Hero Academia. This Saturday was different though. We were playing videogames. My blood sugar suddenly dropped massively, causing me to have a fainting spell. My parents were both on overnight shifts at the hospital, so it was just me and him. He knew what to do, grabbing my insulin pen and basically saving my life.
I was still unconscious after the ordeal, so he laid me in bed, hoping that I was okay. I was fine, but he didn't know that. He was freaking out at this point, so he needed a break too.
When I woke up, he was laying in bed, arms wrapped around me. I don't think he would've purposefully been like that, but I don't know. He was way taller than me, so his arms were around the top of my head, my face buried in his chest. Did this have to happen to me and him? After so much had gone on?83Please respect copyright.PENANAtU9VNeG4cz
When he woke up, he immediately realized what happened. We both pushed away from each other hard, just about falling off of the bed. It was awkward for the both of us. He quietly packed up his this and left in a rush. We both had a huge sense of embarrassment since then.
Now, I'm longing for our relationship to go back to normal. Ever since the incident, things have been tense. There's one question that lingers in my mind.
How can we go back to being friends, when we just shared a bed?

Hey guys! This is just the author. I decided to take this challenge because it seemed fun. I'm taking a break from my usual projects, as I'm trying to take a break from writing. It would be awesome if you could check out The Way The Wind Blows, my main story (it would be the perfect time to get caught up...)! I hope y'all have a wonderful holiday season
