"Better three hours too early than a second too late." - William Shakespeare
Time Travel is mainly used in science fiction novels, such as "A Wrinkle In Time" by Madeleine L'Engle or "Here And Now And Then" by Mike Chen.
Though Time Travel, of course, isn't real. It's exactly what its used for. Fiction.
Though, of course there's the chronology protection conjecture, which is a hypothesis first proposed by Stephen Hawking that laws of physics beyond those of standard prevent —even when the latter theory states that it should be possible (such as in scenarios where travel is allowed). The permissibility of time travel is represented mathematically by the existence of in some solutions to the field equations of general relativity. The chronology protection conjecture should be distinguished from under which every closed time like curve passes through an event horizon which might prevent an observer from detecting the causal violation (also known as chronology violation)
So.. Technically it is possible. Maybe. I don't know, and there's also string theory and theoretical physics, it's all just very complicated and I'm bad at math.
One dreadful day, the sky was a moldy, mud-brown smear with barely a cloud in sight. As it usually is! Marjorie was fighting some mutants, she had cut their heads off, blood spraying across her body like a red, metallic shower over her white shirt. "God damn-!.. I just washed this! Now I'm gonna have to go find another washing machine...", she said in frustration which just attracted more mutants over to her.
She sighed in annoyance and let her head fall for a second before clutching her spear in her hands and running towards the mutants, smiting them with barely any patience left.
"I mean come on people! Or well... I guess zombies", Marjorie chuckled awkwardly before stabbing another mutant through the heart and snapped out of talking to creatures that want to kill her as if they were her friends, "whatever, I mean its just common decency to let me wash my shirt before you start attacking again!", she complained more, groaning when she saw more mutants slowly trudging up to her. "Well. Looks like I gotta deal with these jackasses again.."
She stabbed a few, shot the others with a random gun she picked up off of burnt rubble, basically making this small area into a mutant slaughter house.
She kicked a mutants hand away that tried to crawl up her leg, "that's just rude, I'm wearing a skirt!.. Fucking peeping tom...", she said before she finally stomped on the hand that was trying to crawl back to the mutant, enjoying having watched it suffer a bit and seeing it slowly die. The small, fragile bones of the hand being crushed under her boot, it twisting into uncomfortable shapes as tiny bone fragments pushed through the moss-green, rotting flesh.
She ran a hand through her hair, "that takes care of that", she said as she calmed down a bit. All the mutants were finally gone, well, not gone-gone but, dead. She looked down at her shirt, her other hand running over the fabric slightly, the red blood smearing on her palm, "gross.", she muttered and wiped off the blood on her black skirt.
She was just about to leave when a blue, glowing light caught her attention, it was under the rubble, which explain why she must've not seen it before. She readied her spear, just in case it was another mutant and walked closer to the light. When she dusted it off slightly, her eyes widened, "oh man! Score! I can believe I've found a washing machine!", she waved her fists up in the air in excitement and opened her olive green messenger bag, the fabric feeling rough on her fingers, to look for those weird little squishy things that she found a box of in one of the old houses from the Golden Age.
The box said 'Fide'.. Or well, at least she thinks it did, the logo was scratched off and old, so it was hard to read, but Marjorie is sure it said 'Fide'.
The box also said 'dishwasher only' but hey, dishwasher, laundry machine, they both do the same thing, wash! So it made no difference for Marjorie.
As she was about to take off her white shirt to wash the blood off she heard loud rumbling from the washing machine, it hummed to life as the blue light became more prominent, "the hell?...", she muttered, looking up at the blue beam of light that suddenly shot up into the sky, she completely stilled, the gust of wind suddenly coming from the machine making her spear roll away. "W-what the?!", Marjorie tried to go after her weapon but her vision blurred. Her stomach lurched. The world seemed to twist sideways—then inside-out, almost like she might vomit—not just stomach acid, but her whole insides, like her body was about to turn itself inside-out. Like her guts would start coming up and out of her throat and hanging out of her mouth with blood spewing everywhere.
Then it all went dark.
