World and People
Fog City: Due to climate alteration caused by the Rabbit Federation’s weather weapon, this gambling city has long been shrouded in thick fog. The fog not only reduces viral transmission but also slows the movement efficiency of monsters — however, it simultaneously decreases the survival chances of human survivors.
Solomon’s Key: An ancient artifact capable of projecting mental imagery into physical reality, which in turn influences the user’s thoughts and emotions. Its core power lies in manifesting the subconscious, turning “imagination” into “reality.” The supreme ruler of the Rabbit Federation possesses this item and uses it to open rifts leading to the world of fantasy, thereby creating and releasing various monsters. The power of Solomon’s Key is neither good nor evil — it merely obeys the deepest desires of the human heart.
Ankh: An artifact similar in nature to the Solomon Key, likewise possessing the ability to materialize psychological images. It is the earliest artifact discovered by modern archaeological teams, crafted even earlier than the Solomon Key. Its energy corresponds to “cycle and rebirth,” symbolizing the “breath of life” in ancient Egyptian mythology. The Ankh is guarded by another mythical being, and not all humans are able to perceive its presence. Only a small number of secret organizations know its true nature.
Fantasy World: A world created by humans from ancient to modern times, said to have a time ratio of one year there to a hundred years in the human world. Mephist, created by Goethe, possesses an immortal life. In the modern era, only various monsters remain.
Cathedral of Seven Sins: The origin of the virus. During the Rabbit Federation’s excavation of ancient artifacts, they unearthed a cube-shaped relic. From the demon Mephist residing within, they learned that the artifact was called Solomon’s Key. In modern times, only one priest ever used it — he refused Mephist’s invitation despite lacking medicine and instead discovered a cure for leprosy at the bottom of the box.
Rabbit Federation: The ruling power behind Fog City, ranking second in the New World Order. Sharing many ideological similarities with Number Pink, they cooperated to initiate the human extinction plan. Initially employing appeasement tactics, they abandoned diplomacy after obtaining Solomon’s Key and directly launched the Wasteland Operation.
Number Pink: A pan-European feminist organization advocating female supremacy, believing that the world does not need men. Its predecessor was the 1990s extremist group “Human Self-Destruction.” They were responsible for rewriting the leprosy sequence activated by Mephist into a computer virus and spreading it globally.
Kim Jeok-woo: A Korean mixed-blood survivalist who works as a roulette croupier in Fog City. Influenced by his family background, he knows how to turn everyday objects into weapons to fight monsters.
Sophia: A surviving human from the fantasy world, hunted by monsters there. When the Rabbit Federation unearthed Solomon’s Key, she was accidentally released and later discovered that she herself was a character within a book.
Liam Wei: Codename W-11, a Rabbit Federation spy. Because of family lineage issues, his future was bleak, so he worked hard from a young age to become an agent. However, due to factional politics, he was frequently sent on dangerous frontline missions.
Fr. Phano: A genius biologist and priest. By analyzing biological traits alone, he can determine how to combat monsters. He dedicates his life to healing and saving others.
Yayoi: A Shinto shrine maiden. Her ancestors appear to be connected to the Shimabara Rebellion, but since there are no shrines in Fog City, she practices and conducts herself with an attitude of going with the flow and adapting to circumstances. Her habitual phrase is: “This is fate.”86Please respect copyright.PENANAngcD0XBq0N
Base: A self-rescue organization formed by multiple community leaders, prioritizing survival above all else.
Monsters
Papilio Thanatos: A grotesque hybrid of moth and human. It loses sight during the day and appears as a ghostly flame, but at night it becomes completely berserk, actively attacking humans. Toxic scales fall wherever it passes; when inhaled by humans, larvae begin to grow inside their bodies.
Forsaken Flesh: Humanoid monsters transformed from infected organisms. They feed on human flesh and blood. The infection spreads through air, water, bodily fluids, and light sources.
Xianzhong Emperor: A gigantic beast-type monster, standing three meters tall, walking upright on two legs. Its teeth and claws are razor-sharp, and it is capable of communicating with humans. It can only infect humans through the Photogenetic Sequence; to it, humans are nothing more than vessels that it can abandon and transfer out of at any time. Once a vessel dies, Xianzhong Emperor absorbs the host’s fear, pain, or hatred and converts them into new power.
