The Bakusquad—including tape arms, shitty hair, dunce face, and pinky, came over to my house on Sunday afternoon. My old man is out of town for work and the old hag is getting groceries. We all go up to my room, clean and organized, just how I like it. We start by playing video games, and then we all get bored. “Maybe we could play truth or dare?” Shitty hair suggests. I don’t answer, while everyone nods in excitement and they all gather in a circle on my bedroom floor. I sigh heavily, expressing my dread. Dunce face and pinky laugh at my displeasure.
“Since you’re just so enthusiastic Bakugo, how about you go first?” Pinky says and smiles. I roll my eyes. “Truth or dare, Bakugo?” I think for a moment. Honestly, I feel like if I choose to dare they’re going to make me lick the toilet or something. I cringe at the idea, so I settle on my decision.
“Truth.” I say nonchalantly. Everyone smirks and snickers, making me grow irritated but I don’t let it show.
“If you could go out with one person from our class, who would you choose?” Tape arms says. An embarrassed blush creeps up my cheeks, but I look away to pretend I’m thinking to hide it. Why the fuck are they so interested in my love life?
“I swear to god, if any of you guys speak a word, I’ll tear your tongue out.” I say roughly, making them nod and smile. They lean in and my blush grows. I feel like they can hear my heart beating. “I’d choose Izuku.” I say quietly, which is very out of character for me. They all erupt in gasps and laughs. Their expressions are shocked, but a hint of it already knows somehow. Then they all suddenly hush to a whisper, and I erupt too. “What the hell are you all talking about?!” I don’t get an answer, and I grit my teeth, tiny sparks igniting in the palms of my hands. After a few agonizing moments, pinky finally speaks up and explains.
“Kiri is going to tell Midoriya tomorrow at school!” My stomach drops as they all elbow each other and laugh at the look on my face. They’re going to tell Izuku tomorrow that I said that? What? No. No, that would ruin everything. It’d ruin our friendship! And then he won’t want to be around me, and then he’ll hate me. I can’t fucking let them do that! Shit. What should I do? I ask my famous question in my head; WWMCID? What Would My Cute Izuku Do? Shit, I need to quit thinking this crap about him.
“I swear to god, if you do I’m going to kill all of you.” They just keep laughing and I scream at them to get out of my house. Some friends they are. Once they leave, I eat dinner, practice my drums, and go to bed at 8:30 pm. That night, my dreams were filled with Izuku, as they are most nights.
