The room fell silent.

Han stared at him, shaken beyond words.

“Yuan… if she doesn’t belong here…

why are you still chasing her?”

Lin Yuan looked up.

His gaze was steady, sharpened, unwavering.

“Because the way she said my name—

Han’s voice broke.

“…You’re going back down, aren’t you?”

The world dropped away.

Light died.
