When I was around 6, I was ... interesting to say the least. I bit my siblings, I screamed, I chopped off my barbies' hair, I drew horrible pictures that looked nothing like what they were supposed to be. Though, I suppose these are normal 6 year old things to do, there was one that just didn't make a lot of sense.
I remember this very specific moment, when I was sitting on a booster seat-that had probably been used by every child in our family-in our dark red mini van, while listening to music. It was incredibly uncomfortable for both my arms, and my butt. The sky was dark, and covered in a thick layer of slightly orange clouds-from the city lights-and my eyes felt heavy.
For some reason, my small brain convinced me that I had this awesome super power ... being able to know the lyrics before they've been sung. I was wrong of course. What I thought was a power was me actually just hearing the lyrics, but I wanted to be different. Like I didn't have enough attention as is, being the youngest of 5.
