Four years later.
Judah indeed became a follower of Christ.
By chance, Naomi stumbled upon him again. But this time, it was not at a bus stop — it was a coffee shop. She was on her lunch break. The twenty-three-year-old had decided to get a treat for herself. And there
Judah was standing in line a few feet away.
He looked different. Older, but still as handsome — maybe even more so.
The Lord made beautiful people!
When he came from the till with a receipt in his hand, their eyes met. His green eyes were bright — not as dull. Judah seemed to have bulked up; he had more muscle than she remembered. He had a certain glow about him too — and it wasn’t just the fancy grey suit he wore. He looked a bit more mature, not as boyish as before.
Judah shared that he’d been baptized a year ago. He’d finally accepted Jesus into his heart and he wasn’t turning back. That encounter with Naomi was God saying, “I love you, my son.”
He had been curious after that story — three years ago. He was twenty-two at the time and explored Christianity for two more years. He didn’t take it seriously at first, but he kept coming back to it.
“I related to Leah more than I thought. I was miserable when you saw me. I was at my lowest, and then God showed up through you — to let me know He saw me, and loved me,” Judah smiled warmly. “Thank you for that, by the way. May the Lord bless you.”
He sought God, then ran away. It was a push and pull — until he had a revelation, a spark of truth and understanding. And it consumed him.
He got saved at twenty-five and was baptized.
They ended up chatting longer than they’d planned.
The conversation was lovely — filled with joy and excitement. Both of them engaging this time, not just Naomi.
The hoot of a bus snapped them out of their bubble.
“I have to go,” Then Naomi remembered she had work to do — a job. “Let's keep in touch.”
Before parting, they exchanged numbers to stay in touch.
Brother Jude: Hey would you like to join me for some coffee and Jesus talk? It's no problem if you can't but I don't have many Christian friends or friends at all as of lately.
Naomi: of course! i'd love to. Jesus is my favourite topic ☺️🙌 i get it after i was saved i lost some people too. God always stays!
From that day on, they kept in contact almost daily and quickly became friends.
Naomi: hello! how are ya! our church is having a family fun day and your invited!💃 if you can make it this Friday.
Brother Jude 😆: Hi. I'm good praise God. I'm free by the blood of Jesus lol. I think I'll make it but I'll let you know in advance if I can't. Thanks for the invite.
They met up more frequently and became good friends — until they weren’t.
Darling: i miss you! come back. Judahhh 🥴
Jude 💞: I miss you too. I'll see you in a few days. Don't be so dramatic love.
Darling: you love dramic 😌
Jude 💞: No I love you.
Their friendship blossomed into something more — a romantic relationship.
Was this God’s plan all along?
Who knows. Glory to God.
THE END.
