Gwendolen had just left the house on her way to kidnap Johnovich, Levi, Cormac, Yam, and Tatum. With her gone, it was just him and Shaun, awkwardly sitting on chairs around a table. Shaun was sipping tea, and he did it incredibly loudly, making it impossible to think. This brought Gerald into conversation, as he did not want Shaun to continue sipping his tea.
"You saw the Snallythingy right?"
"Snallygaster, and yes, I saw it. I only saw its head, and it killed my buddy Dave."
"What were you doing near the Bus Barn?"
"Fishing."
"At this time of year?! It's December! It's almost Christmas!"
"Hey, I like to fish, and the water hadn't froze yet."

Gerald did not want to see the head, it made him sick to look at, but he figured it was better than listening to that awful sipping noise Shaun makes. When Shaun agreed with a nod, they sat up and headed outside.
They went to the barrel, and Gerald tried to open it, and he failed once again. Shaun opened it, because I guess he knows things like that (He says it was from fishing club, whatever that is) and revealed dozens of severed heads. Most of them were decomposing and grey, but one stood out from the rest. It was the head Gerald found earlier. He took the head in his hand and placed it back in the barrel. He had yet to learn how to close the barrel, so he left it open. They walked back inside, and sat down. At least Shaun wasn't sipping on his tea again. Then, out of the blue, Gwendolen kicked open the door holding Cormac and Yam in her hands, with Tatum and Levi on her back, and Johnovich sprawled on her large head. The group of boys all crowded around Gerald, and he told them everything he knew.
"So we're going monster hunting?"

The friends talked and laughed for a few hours, then something thumped. Everyone stopped doing what they were doing, and Gwendolen loaded the M1 Garand she was cleaning in her hands, and she walked to the door.

She opened the door, holding the Garand in front of her, with one of her hands on the trigger. What she saw was something she had not seen in a long, long time. It was rolling the barrel to different places and eating the heads that fell out.

The creature looked at Gwendolen, and Gwendolen looked at the creature. Its large cat eye stared at Gwendolen. Suddenly, it swooped forth using its great wings and landed at the door. Gwendolen fell back and shot it, hitting its neck, causing a spurt of blood to shoot out from it. It screamed and moved to the door and knocked it off its hinges with its beak. "Everyone pick up a weapon!" Exit out the other door!"
Apparently, there was a door that was painted to look exactly like the wall, which Gwendolen opened, and motioned out of. Everyone grabbed weapons, and ran out. The creature roared in anger and removed its head from the doorway.
"Everyone get to ma truck!"
This was the first time Gerald got a good look at the truck, and it was a large truck with a trailer connected.
Everyone got inside, with Gerald and Levi going in the trailer and everyone else in the truck. The creature now stood on top of the shack, and it screeched again at the sky, which was now black, for it was night. Gwendolen hit the gas and the truck started to move. It was a fast truck, especially for its size. The creature leaped off the shack and started flying in their direction, screeching and screaming all the way. Gwendolen drove faster, but the creature still caught up. It landed on top of the trailer, and sunk its claws into it. Gerald and Levi looked up and saw its claws stabbing through the top of the trailer, and they started screaming. Gwendolen yelled to Shaun
"Take the wheel! I need to shoot the motherg*mer!"
Gwendolen grabbed her Garand and switched seats while Shaun sat in her seat and kept driving. Gwendolen rolled down the window and pulled out her Garand. She saw only one side of it, but that was enough. She shot it in the side, causing more blood to run our from the hit. The creature still held on. She shot more, and they missed, but she hit the last one. The creature crawled off the trailer and onto the truck, where it tried to bite Gwendolen. Gwendolen retreated back into the truck and rolled the windows up, but the creature went right above Gwendolen and broke the glass with its beak.
