Detective Cassidy Tremaine is young, attractive and a divorced mother of two children. Driven and competitive, she has replaced all thoughts of romance with a nearly single-minded devotion to her career. This mindset came about after the man she married betrayed their vows. That event hardened her heart, and she turned all her attention to trying to be the best detective in the NYPD. She had given up on the hope of finding Mr. Right until a new case brought her face to face with the perfect man, minus one small defect: he's a vampire.
