To those who had abandoned faith, he didn't preach religion. Instead, he appealed to the innate nobility within every human soul:

"If you have no religion, then be noble and honorable in your worldly life."

He showed that basic human decency – protecting the vulnerable, acting with honour, refusing to degrade oneself – needs no complex theology. It simply requires us to be truly free from our lowest desires.

Sometimes, the most profound truth is the simplest one.
