- That is the guy who brought me here on day one! - I exclaimed in shock. It was certainly the same person, as beneath his black blouse was the "FLORIDA RULES!" shirt. Since this is the same person, was the enemy tracking me before I even came here?
- Guess you met our rival earlier... - Sebastian muttered. Further discussion was brewing, but Captain Nigel cut us off.
- This is not a real enemy agent. This was a test, but not an ordinary one. We wanted to know which students are best prepared for an important mission... - He started, making us even more confused.
- What mission? - Dawn asked.
- Hold on, let me finish - he replied, irritated - This is Jaxon Koval, he's half American, half Russian. He is the most naively loyal agent, so we knew that he'd take the job of pretending to be an enemy agent. He'd take any job in the agency, really...
- Hey, I heard that! - As it turned out, Jaxon was awake.
- Anyway - Captain Nigel ignored him - You're units, 212 and 208, have proven to be capable of playing a key role in an important mission...
- What mission?! - We all asked simultaneously.
- Your job is to find a REAL mole in the American Moon Base. We believe that someone has infiltrated the outpost and may be plotting something sinister, and YOU will be the ones to prevent it! - Captain Nigel was visibly annoyed.
- Captain, we've barely started training. Why send us? Wouldn't professional field agents do the job better than us? - The muscular guy from Dawn's unit asked.
- The enemy seems to recognise our adult agents, so we need someone new. However, we couldn't select anyone, which is why there was a test, and you passed it. So it's your mission - Captain Nigel grumped.
- Vincent is sort of right. They're still agents in training. This mission will be difficult, not to mention dangerous...! - Einstein sided with us. So that muscular one is Vincent.
- We can't send some random morons to the moon base, because they'd be more likely to cause the outpost to self-destruct rather than find the mole! That is why we're sending the junior agents who are best fitted for action! That's what we trained them for! THAT'S IT, THE MISSION WILL NOT BE CANCELLED!!! - Captain Nigel was extremely furious.
- You must understand, we can't change it - Harold turned to us in an empathic manner, but he was interrupted by Nigel.
- AND WE WON'T CHANGE IT!!!
- You'll train along the way. There will be plenty of time during your flight. Due to the significance of this mission, we must begin as soon as possible, which is tomorrow at 6 AM. Get packed and rest, because you'll need it - Harold finished his sentence. With that, we left the secretariat. We still heard Captain Nigel and Einstein yelling, with Jaxon soon joining the argument.
- How dare you say that I am "naively loyal"! I am simply loyal to my country...! - We heard the fake enemy agent.
For a long moment, we just stood there in utter silence, trying to grasp what had just happened and what it meant for all of us. We were going on a real mission, despite having little to no training compared to professional space spies.
- Can you believe it? We're going on a mission! TO THE MOON! - Amber was the happiest out of us - This is insane! We are so lucky...!
- Yeah, we will be lucky if we come back alive - The ginger-haired boy from unit 208 joined the conversation - Also, if you were wondering, my name's Jeff.
- Jeff's right, this is really dangerous - Sebastian warned Amber, but she didn't mind.
- That's what makes a mission fun - she replied.
- How are we supposed to know who we are even looking for? - Claudius asked.
- I hope we'll learn the details on the way there - I replied, hopeful.
- On the other hand, the fact that they selected us makes us special, compared to other students - Dawn remarked - We may not be the best, but we're better than the others.
- I hope you're right - replied Mini-Dawn (that other blonde girl from unit 208).
- You know what I think about this? - Sebastian asked us all.
- No - I replied.
- This is dangerous, and we probably won't make it out alive, but since they selected our units, we should carry on with this mission and do are best to complete the task. We should stay loyal to our country and the agency, but not naively loyal... - Sebastian spoke as if he were the President delivering a powerful speech.
- I AM NOT "NAIVELY LOYAL"!!! - Jaxon was still arguing with the other adults in the secretariat; however, it seemed like he heard us instead.
- Okay, we should be packing now. Let's get this mission going! - Amber was still enthusiastic, but we listened to her. It was already noon, and we had to go to sleep earlier than usual, so we didn't have much to pack. We split up and went to our dorms.
I grabbed my backpack. It wasn't the smallest, but the space was limited. I packed two bottles of water, the empty notebook on my desktop (in case we had to write something down) a small crate filled with "Space Rations", whatever that is supposed to be. We were allowed to take a single personal item with us, so I chose a space album given to me when I was six. It was my first album, back when my passion was still beginning. I wanted to take something that mattered to me. In case somebody broke into my dorm, the important stuff would be protected.
Suddenly, I heard some voices outside my room. There were two of them, and they belonged to Einstein and Sebastian. I didn't want to eavesdrop on them, but I heard them anyway.
- Sir, is everything okay? - Sebastian asked.
- Yes... It's just that Nigel is maddeningly determined to send you guys there... I know that you passed that important test, and I am proud of you, but I'm still afraid that something will go wrong... - Einstein sighed.
- We'll do our best to complete the mission and capture the mole - Sebastian sounded confident. Overly confident, in fact.
- I'm happy to hear that. Remember, secrecy is important. Don't tell anyone from the outside world about this mission. As far as parents are concerned, they were told that you're going on a road trip to train in the wild - Einstein replied, and Sebastian nodded. I didn't know where Einstein was going, but the conversation ended as our caretaker left the area.

I was desperately trying to fall asleep, but annoyingly, I was still awake. I couldn't stop thinking about everything that was happening. I was worried that we weren't ready to take on such a difficult mission. I really, really didn't want to die trying to catch the enemy. A real enemy. An enemy that won't hesitate to get their hands dirty to get away. Another thing keeping me awake was the censorship and the fact that I must lie to Justine. If she asks me about the "road trip", I'll be forced to falsely reply that our training is fantastic and blah, blah, blah...59Please respect copyright.PENANAck6ccC9S58
I just didn't want to lie to someone whom I trusted so much, and vice versa. I looked at my phone. It was 11 PM. I really need to fall asleep if I want to come prepared. So, trying to stop the wave of thoughts in my head, I started thinking about not thinking about anything. This paradoxical approach proved to be good, as I felt my eyes closing and my consciousness drifting away into the dream world...
