It can be the central image of a poem, the mood of a story, or the secret behind a character. Maybe it’s the warmth of gold, the sorrow of blue, or the mystery of black. The challenge is simple: build your piece around one color and make us feel it.

Guidelines:

Word count: For the story, 200 and above words (Write as much as you want). For the poem, 50-300 words.

Can be poetry or prose (a story).

The color doesn’t have to be in the title, but it should shape the story/poem.

Be creative — literal, symbolic, emotional, surreal, anything goes.
