POETRY: The Art of Feeling - Not Done Yet:A soul still speaking

‎The fool in every tale,

‎The one who gives, and always fails.

‎You never gain, you only lose,

‎A thankless life you didn’t choose.

‎

‎Where’s the reward for being true?

‎Where is the peace life promised you?

‎Always jolly, always bright,

‎But no one saw your inner fight.

‎

‎The smile was worn, the pain concealed—

‎But deep inside, you never healed.

‎Still wondering when you lost your light,

‎If it ever shone, or if it was slight.

‎

‎But something’s changed—of that, you’re sure,

‎You’re not the same as you were before.

‎Not better, not worse—just not the same,

‎Maybe tired of playing life’s cruel game.

‎

‎Maybe now, you can’t pretend,

‎Maybe your soul has reached its end.

‎Let’s hope things change—for good this time.

‎Let there be peace in place of crime.

‎— But if it’s pain that lies ahead,

‎Let strength arise from tears you’ve shed.

‎Let every scar become your guide,

‎A silent proof that you survived.
