At night, when Luna got out of school and walked home, she saw a dog standing next to the brightening streetlight. Behind it, there was a dark wall and it seemed there was something there moving.
Luna slowed down as she did not feel well about that something. When she reached about three meters away from the spot, she stopped her feet and stood still. She was thinking she should go or turn back.
Suddenly, while she was thinking, the thing came out of the dark and she saw it was a male. But he didn’t come to her. He went straight to the dog, captured its neck with his right palm and wrapped his arm around its body. Then he looked at Luna and shouted, “Go. Hurry up. It’s not alive, it’s a ghost.”
This yell made Luna awake and spot something different between the dog and the catcher. The dog didn’t have a shadow, but the guy did have it. So, without thinking twice, Luna ran with all her speed.
She didn’t tell her family about the story when she arrived home. As they sat around the dining table to have a meal, she heard her family talking about their neighbors meeting a dog ghost at the streetlamp at the road entering their village.
