LA VIE EN ROSE is an album that chronologically documents my disintegration and subsequent reconstruction after losing someone that meant a lot to me. Although it doesn't directly capture how I healed, the time I spent creating it facilitated the healing of my heart.

After I began talking with someone new in April, I realised some old scars were reopening which affected that relationship so much that I had to stop talking to that person. LA VIE EN ROSE explores this, but also my attempt at making sense of why and how the past kept on manifesting itself in my present life. 

LA VIE EN ROSE is a dissection of what the phrase 'life in pink' means. To me, during the past few months I spent writing the album, it became less about the idealisation of someone and more about the reality of the situation and the state that they leave you in when they disappear from your life. 

Finally, LA VIE EN ROSE explores the nonlinear stages of grief, which I believe anyone experiences after any breakup, and I hope that this album helps you if you're going through anything like that at the moment.
