The ocean crashed violently against jagged cliffs, mist curling into the forest, mixing with the scent of wet pine and ozone. The air itself seemed to hold its breath.
A booming voice rang out:
"Attention all students and faculty: The 1v15 Ultimate Challenge is commencing! One mage will face fifteen of the most elite male combatants from the allied academies. No interference will be tolerated. Let the strongest prevail!"
Gasps rippled through spectators. Professors leaned forward, eyes wide. From the clearing’s edge, Koha stepped forward, robes damp, crystal pendant glowing faintly. Kneeling, he traced intricate symbols in the sand, forming a magical circle pulsing toward the ocean and forest.
"天地無限 (Tenchi Mugen) – Infinite Heaven and Earth… 無限光輝 (Mugen Kōki) – Endless Radiance… 光の抱擁 (Hikari no Hōyō) – Embrace of Light…", he chanted, cold, dangerous, each word vibrating through the clearing. Waves froze mid-crash, trees bent subtly, and the air itself shimmered.
From the shadows, the first of the fifteen stepped forward.
Arion, flames licking his arms, smirked. “Little mage, do you really think you can survive? 火炎の嵐 (Kaen no Arashi) – Flame Tempest!” He sent fire and lightning swirling in a tornado toward Koha.
Kael streaked forward, blades slicing the wind. “Pathetic. You move like a child. 疾風の牙 (Shippū no Kiba) – Gale Fang!” Razor winds cut the air, teasing Koha’s movements.
Umbra, stepping from the shadows, voice icy: “Foolish. Darkness will claim you. 深淵の手 (Shinen no Te) – Abyssal Grasp.” Tendrils of shadow lunged.
Ignis slammed a molten fist into the ground. “Your arrogance will melt you. 溶岩の拳 (Yōgan no Kobushi) – Magma Fist!” Lava surged forward, twisting like serpents.
Azura, calm and analytical, lifted his staff. “Let’s see if your intellect can save you. 魔力弾幕 (Maryoku Danmaku) – Mana Barrage.” Orbs of glowing energy homed in.
Zephyr laughed maniacally. “Chaos loves me, and it will love you more! 混沌を味わえ (Genso no Senpū) – Elemental Maelstrom!” Fire, ice, lightning, and wind collided in a wild vortex.
The blademasters advanced.
Rurik, twin curved swords gleaming, grinned: “Let’s see how fast you really are.”
Orion, lance poised, spoke nobly: “We fight with honor… and precision. Do not underestimate me.”
Kaida, flaming blade spinning, teased: “So fragile, so delicate. I’ll make this fun.”
Thorne, vines writhing, hissed: “Territory is mine. You trespass, little one.”
The archers took aim from above.
Sylph, playful: “Catch me if you can, mage!” Cyclone Arrow Dance fired from her bow.
Raven, calm, deadly: “Your end is silent… Eclipse Shot.”
Draven, aggressive: “Lightning doesn’t forgive. Storm Piercer!”
The tanks advanced.
Sho, shield raised: “No escape. Every step brings you closer to defeat.”
Kaito, fists like boulders: “Try if you dare. I’ll crush every last hope of yours.”
Koha’s gaze swept across them, cold, calculating, aura pulsing. Whispering:
"You are already in my storm."
Arion’s Flame Tempest collided with Koha’s circle. Koha rolled behind a fallen log, conjuring 流水の刃 (Ryūsui no Yaiba) – Flowing Water Blade. Steam hissed as fire met water, sparks scattering.
Kael darted in. “Pathetic!” Koha twisted midair, using a judo throw to send him crashing into a tree.
Umbra’s tendrils surged. “I will consume you!” Koha flared white light, casting 光の抱擁 (Hikari no Hōyō) – Embrace of Light, obliterating shadows.
Ignis erupted molten lava. “Burn, little mage!” Koha leapt, firing 氷結の矢 (Hyōketsu no Ya) – Freezing Arrow, freezing lava midair.
Azura’s orbs homed in. “You cannot outthink me.” Koha created 旋風の壁 (Senpū no Kabe) – Cyclone Wall, then 烈火の盾 (Rekka no Tate) – Blazing Fire Shield vaporized stray orbs.
Zephyr’s maelstrom slammed. “I’ll overwhelm you!” Koha struck with 氷旋衝 (Hyōsen Shō) – Ice Spiral Strike, slowing him.
Blademasters closed in. Rurik whistled, Orion jabbed, Kaida spun flames, Thorne’s vines lashed. Koha parried, kicked, twisted.
Archers fired. Koha flipped, conjuring 氷結の矢 (Hyōketsu no Ya) – Freezing Arrow, shattering volleys. Sho and Kaito advanced. Koha leapt between them, tripping Kaito, rolling off Sho’s shield.
The forest, ocean, and sky bent subtly to his will. Waves formed domes, wind gusts shifted, trees repositioned. His magical circle pulsed as he chanted.
Rising, aura blinding, he whispered coldly:
"You cannot touch me. Not yet… and when I strike, the storm will remember my name."
The fifteen paused, regrouping, awe and unease in their eyes. This was just the opening clash. The battle was far from over, tension crackling like lightning over the waves.
The mist from the ocean clung to the forest like a heavy veil, every droplet glimmering with latent magic. Koha’s magical circle pulsed beneath him, glowing silver and white, reflecting in the calm pools forming in the sand. His violet eyes, left dark, right white, scanned the fifteen elite combatants before him.
Arion stepped forward first, flames flickering along his arms. “You think that little trick can stop me? Pathetic!” His voice carried mockery, the 火炎の嵐 (Kaen no Arashi) – Flame Tempest growing larger, swirling with lightning. “I’ll roast you alive, little mage!”
Kael’s grin was cocky, almost cruel. “Move faster, Koha! Or maybe you enjoy being humiliated?” He darted like a gust of wind, executing 疾風の牙 (Shippū no Kiba) – Gale Fang, slicing the air dangerously close to Koha’s robes.
Umbra’s voice was icy, calm, yet menacing: “Do you feel fear yet? Darkness is patient.” The shadows around him shifted unnaturally as he cast 深淵の手 (Shinen no Te) – Abyssal Grasp, tendrils seeking Koha’s ankles.
Ignis slammed the ground, molten fissures erupting. “Arrogant brat. You’ll burn before you blink.” His 溶岩の拳 (Yōgan no Kobushi) – Magma Fist surged forward, molten streams snaking toward him.
Zephyr’s laughter rang like a bell of chaos. “Hahaha! You think you’re impressive? Let me show you true chaos! 混沌を味わえ (Genso no Senpū) – Elemental Maelstrom!” Fire, ice, lightning, and wind collided in violent disarray.
From the flanks, Rurik twirled his twin curved swords. “Fragile and weak. Let’s see how fast you really are,” he sneered.
Orion stepped forward with tactical precision. “Your magic is impressive, but precision always wins.” His lance stabbed, gleaming.
Kaida’s flaming blade spun menacingly. “I’ll make this painful… and fun.” Her grin was sharp.
Thorne’s vines lashed, hissing. “You should have stayed hidden. Now you will pay.”
Sylph perched above, arrows raining in playful arcs. “Bet you can’t dodge all of these, little mage!”
Raven’s shadowy eyes glinted. “Every step you take is your last. Eclipse Shot.”
Draven’s lightning-charged arrows zipped like missiles. “Try to catch me if you can. Storm Piercer!”
Sho and Kaito stomped forward, the earth trembling beneath them. Sho’s shield gleamed ominously. “Resistance is futile.”
Kaito flexed, fists ready. “I’ll crush your hope with my bare hands.”
Koha’s lips curled faintly, expression unreadable. He whispered, voice calm but deadly:
"Do you truly think chaos frightens me?"
The fifteen advanced in synchronized chaos.
Arion’s Flame Tempest erupted, Kael’s Gale Fang sliced the wind, Umbra’s Abyssal Grasp surged, Ignis’s Magma Fist snaked forward, Zephyr’s Elemental Maelstrom whirled violently. Blademasters closed, archers fired, tanks stomped in tandem.
Koha didn’t flinch. Instead, he raised his arms, chanting rapidly:
"虚空裂破 (Kokū Reppa) – Void Rending… 永遠の抱擁 (Eien no Hōyō) – Embrace of Eternity… 絶対支配 (Zettai Shihai) – Absolute Dominion!"
The ocean responded first. Waves rose, freezing midair into crystalline arcs that deflected fire and molten lava. Wind gusts reversed unpredictably, tangling Kael mid-spin. Umbra’s tendrils collided with solidified light and shattered. Zephyr’s maelstrom bent, struggling against an invisible hand.
Koha rose from the circle, stepping forward. His Ice Spiral Strike (氷旋衝, Hyōsen Shō) sent Zephyr flying backward, tumbling across the sand. His voice, now deeper, almost alien, cut through the mist:
"I am the storm. I am everything you fear."
Rurik’s swords slashed, but Koha sidestepped fluidly, tripping him with a precise judo maneuver. Kaida’s flaming blade swung with deadly arcs, yet Koha leapt, spinning over her strikes, landing behind her and flipping her into the moss.
The archers fired again. Koha’s Freezing Arrows (氷結の矢, Hyōketsu no Ya) shattered the volleys mid-flight, shards of ice scattering dangerously close. Sho lunged with his shield, Kaito’s fists followed—but Koha twisted between them, evading and using their momentum to roll them off balance.
Azura’s Mana Barrage (魔力弾幕, Maryoku Danmaku) came from above. Koha raised a Cyclone Wall (旋風の壁, Senpū no Kabe), deflecting orbs into the ocean dome, where sparks hissed as water vaporized some.
The forest shifted subtly under Koha’s will: trees bent to shield him, roots rising to trip enemies, leaves slicing like knives. The ocean rippled unnaturally, waves curling into whorls at his command. Even the sky seemed to shimmer with latent energy, dark clouds forming a halo above him.
Arion, furious, roared: “*You’re a freak! Magic should not bend like this!”
Kael laughed mockingly: “Hah! You think you’re in control, but we’ll break you before you realize it!”
Umbra’s voice was icy, venomous: “Your arrogance is your weakness. I will enjoy watching you fall.”
Ignis hissed through gritted teeth: “Burn, little mage. Burn!”
Zephyr cackled: “Chaos will devour you… and I’ll enjoy the taste!”
Even the blademasters, archers, and tanks exchanged uneasy glances. Their coordinated assault was being twisted, deflected, and manipulated by a single mage.
Koha’s pupils spun, glyphs visible even in the dim forest light. His aura flared. He whispered, almost to himself but audible over the chaos:
"You cannot end me. You are the storm before me, and I am the storm itself."
The battlefield was chaos incarnate. Waves crashed, forests trembled, fire met ice, and wind sliced the misty air. Koha’s magical circle pulsed relentlessly, connecting the ocean, forest, and sky. The fifteen combatants had begun to coordinate, a web of attacks converging on him from every angle.
Arion’s Flame Tempest (火炎の嵐, Kaen no Arashi) surged forward, colliding with Koha’s Embrace of Light (光の抱擁, Hikari no Hōyō), sending sparks into the mist. Kael darted in, wind slicing through branches like blades. Umbra’s shadow tendrils lashed, Ignis’ molten fists erupted, Zephyr’s chaotic vortex spun wildly.
Amidst the storm, Rurik lunged from the flank, twin curved swords aimed with ruthless precision. Koha rolled to evade, but the tip of a blade caught his forehead. A sharp pain exploded, and a thin line of blood welled, trickling down past his eye.
For a heartbeat, the world seemed to stop. The mist froze, and even the ocean waves paused mid-crash. Koha’s violet eyes flashed, the left pupil darkening, the right pupil turning white, glyphs spinning furiously. His breath steadied, cold and deliberate.
"Pain… weakness… no. I will turn this into power," he whispered, voice like ice.
He touched the cut with his fingers. The blood gleamed unnaturally red, suspended in the air. With a flick of his hand and a soft chant, he turned it into 紅血の結界 (Ketsu no Kekkai) – Crimson Blood Barrier. The blood formed intricate glowing runes that expanded outward, weaving a semi-transparent dome around him. Any strike that touched it was absorbed, amplified, and redirected.
Arion staggered back. “What…? He’s using his own blood as magic? Impossible!”
Kael’s wind attacks were ripped apart by the swirling crimson runes. Umbra hissed as his shadow tendrils collided with the barrier and evaporated into sparks. Ignis’ molten fists slammed against it, searing, but the barrier absorbed the heat, flaring brightly.
Zephyr laughed, but nervously. “Hahaha… clever, little mage… too clever!”
Koha’s aura flared violently. With another whispered chant, 紅血の剣 (Ketsu no Ken) – Crimson Blood Blade formed in his hand, a jagged blade shimmering with his own life force. He swung. The slash cut through Zephyr’s elemental vortex, shattering the chaos mage’s momentum and sending him sprawling across the sand.
Rurik, Kaida, Thorne all closed in, striking in unison. Koha twirled, sidestepped, and with a judicious kick, sent Rurik tumbling into a fallen log. Kaida’s flaming blade came down—he grabbed the hilt mid-swing, twisting, sending her sliding across scorched sand. Thorne’s vines snapped against the barrier, and Koha’s Crimson Blood Barrier reflected them upward, embedding in the branches above.
Archers fired from above, Sylph laughing, Raven silent, Draven snarling. Koha raised a hand, whispering:
"血の矢 (Chi no Ya) – Blood Arrow…"
A projectile formed from the floating crimson droplets. It streaked through the air, exploding into a concussive wave that knocked Sylph off her perch, scattered Raven’s shadows, and singed Draven’s lightning-charged arrows mid-flight.
Even Sho and Kaito hesitated, shields raised, fists ready. Koha’s presence radiated dominance. He whispered again, voice now deeper, resonant and commanding:
"Pain is power. Weakness is strength. Fall, if you dare."
The battlefield stilled briefly. Mist hung heavy, waves froze mid-crash, the forest quiet except for the distant groan of cracking wood. The fifteen combatants, though seasoned, exchanged uneasy glances. One of their own had landed a strike, drawn blood—but Koha had turned it into a weapon against them.
Arion growled, eyes wide. “He’s not just surviving… he’s adapting, evolving. This is… insane!”
Kael smirked, tension in his shoulders. “Hmph… clever. I like it. But clever won’t save you forever.”
Umbra’s whisper hissed through the mist: “Your arrogance will still be your undoing, little mage.”
Ignis gritted his teeth, heat radiating. “You will burn!”
Zephyr, still dazed from the Crimson Blood Blade, laughed shakily: “Chaos… chaos will… hmmph! He’s stronger than I thought!”
Koha’s aura flared further. His left eye dark, right eye white, glyphs spinning furiously in both pupils. The Crimson Blood Barrier shimmered, the floating droplets forming swords, spears, and chains, each humming with lethal energy.
"Try to stop me now," he whispered, voice low, dangerous, almost alien.
Rurik, the shadow blademaster, growled as he swung his twin curved swords. “Die, mage!”
Kaida, flames trailing her sword, hissed, “No tricks now. You’re finished!”
Thorne’s vines whipped violently, snapping against trees and the wet ground. “Every strike brings you closer to death!”
Koha’s voice, low and dangerous, carried across the battlefield:
"You think your brutality will stop me? Strike me if you dare… every attack will only strengthen me."
Rurik’s fist connected with Koha’s shoulder. Pain shot through him; blood spurted, smearing his vision. He spat crimson into the mist, wiping it with the back of his hand, and twisted into a spinning back kick, sending Rurik flying into a tree. Kaida’s flaming sword slammed down onto him, leaving a scorching gash across his side. Koha gritted his teeth, tasting iron in his mouth, blood dripping into his eyes, stinging, blinding him slightly.
"Hmph… still breathing, still fighting… pathetic arrogance." Kaida sneered, swinging again.
Koha dodged mid-roll, using a Gale Thrust kick (疾風の突, Shippū no Totsu) enhanced with wind magic to propel himself behind her. His Fusion Sword cut cleanly through her guard with 光と闇の融合剣 (Kōyami Yūgō Ken – Fusion of Light & Darkness Sword). Flames flared around the strike, igniting the mist, and Kaida crumpled, her flaming sword clattering to the ground.
Thorne lunged with vines, striking his leg, drawing more blood. Koha countered with rapid palm strikes and spinning elbows, sending her crashing into a tree trunk. He followed with a Flowing Water Blade (流水の刃, Ryūsui no Yaiba), slashing through her defenses. She collapsed, motionless.
Rurik staggered to his knees, spitting blood from a split lip. “How… how are you still alive…?”
Koha’s cold reply:
"Because I am not ordinary. Every strike you land… only teaches me how to survive, how to dominate."
Kael launched a flank attack with Gale Fang (疾風の牙, Shippū no Kiba), slicing across Koha’s back. Blood seeped from the wound, staining his robes. Koha grunted, teeth clenched, but rolled forward, spinning into a backhand sword strike, knocking Kael off his feet.
The mist was thick with flying blood, sweat, and water from the ocean spray. Koha’s shoulder bore a deep gash, crimson dripping down his arm. Blood blurred his left eye, but he wiped it with his sleeve and hissed, focusing on the next assault.
Umbra emerged from the shadows, whispering coldly, “You will fall… like the others.”
Koha’s voice, icy and commanding:
"I am the storm you cannot contain. Strike me if you dare."
He executed a spinning kick to Rurik’s chest, sending the blademaster crashing into a tree, and followed with a rapid elemental combo:
火焔の拳 (Kaen no Kobushi – Flame Fist) to the ribs
氷結の拳 (Hyōketsu no Kobushi – Ice Fist) to the jaw
大地の拳 (Daichi no Kobushi – Earth Fist) to the solar plexus
Rurik coughed, blood spraying from his mouth, staggering.
Arion’s Flame Tempest (火炎の嵐, Kaen no Arashi) roared toward him, Kael lunging, vines snapping—but Koha weaved through attacks, blocking arrows midair, delivering spinning sword strikes, kicking opponents into trees, crushing skulls with elbows.
The four allies watched, horrified:
Rio’s fists burned, amber eyes wide. “They’re trying to destroy him!”
Huo’s green eyes flared, jaw tight. “Stop! He’s not weak!”
Yin’s voice trembled. “Every strike he takes… he turns it against them…”
Sky’s smirk was gone, fingers hovering near arrows. “He’s… unstoppable…”
By the end of the phase, three blademasters were defeated—Rurik, Kaida, Thorne—sprawled in the forest, bloodied and unconscious. Koha, battered, bleeding from shoulder, side, face, and back, spat into the mist, tasting iron, yet stood tall, still controlling the battlefield with martial arts, swordplay, and elemental magic.
Every step left footprints of blood and mud. Every swing of his sword was precise, deadly, enhanced by wind, ice, fire, and earth. His left eye dark, right eye white, glyphs spinning in spirals, Koha had transformed brutality into mastery, dominance, and sheer survival.
The remaining twelve enemies, staggered and fearful, realized that they were facing a god in mortal flesh.
Yet, in the midst of agony, his eyes—left dark, right white—flickered with a chaotic, terrifying light.
Arion hissed, 火炎の嵐 (Kaen no Arashi – Flame Tempest) crackling in his hands. “He’s… still alive?! How is this possible?!”
Kael’s 疾風の牙 (Shippū no Kiba – Gale Fang) tore the air, slicing across Koha’s ribs, opening fresh wounds. Koha stumbled, blood pouring into his mouth.
He dropped to one knee, clutching his side, coughing. For a moment, it seemed like the battle had consumed him. His strength wavered.
Then a strange, chilling laughter echoed across the battlefield—a low, menacing laugh that rose to a wild, mad, triumphant roar.
"HAHAHAHA… FOOLS! DID YOU THINK THIS WOULD BREAK ME?!"
The sound froze the remaining enemies. Even Umbra, cloaked in shadows, paused mid-lunge. The forest itself seemed to lean toward him, waves crashing violently in response to his aura.
Koha rose, staggering, blood running down his face, dripping into his eyes. He wiped it away roughly, revealing the spiraling glyphs in his pupils, and grinned like a dangerous, crazy boy.
"I’ve been pushed… I’ve been beaten… but now… now it’s my turn!"
Rurik groaned, still recovering from his defeat. “He… he’s lost it… he’s insane!”
Kaida spat fire, backing away. “He’s… not human anymore…”
Thorne hissed, vines writhing like serpents. “Control him… or die!”
Koha’s movements became fluid, violent, and unpredictable. Every swing of his Fusion Sword (光と闇の融合剣, Kōyami Yūgō Ken) was enhanced by elements: fire, ice, wind, and earth. He rolled through the battlefield, dodging attacks while delivering spinning back kicks, judo throws, and precise punches enhanced by elemental bursts:
火焔の拳 (Kaen no Kobushi – Flame Fist) smashed Kael into a tree.
氷結の拳 (Hyōketsu no Kobushi – Ice Fist) sent Arion staggering backward.
大地の拳 (Daichi no Kobushi – Earth Fist) shattered the ground beneath a group of archers.
The air was thick with flying blood, sweat, and saltwater spray. Koha’s chest heaved; blood poured from cuts, dripping into his hair, staining his robe and the forest floor. Yet every move was precise, calculated chaos.
Umbra hissed from the shadows: “He’s not just strong… he’s… unhinged!”
Koha’s laugh carried across the battlefield again:
"HAHAHAHA! You thought pain could stop me?! Weakness is only fuel! Come closer… I dare you!"
He executed a spinning Flowing Water Blade (流水の刃, Ryūsui no Yaiba) strike, slicing arrows in midair and forcing Sylph to stumble. Draven’s Storm Piercer struck toward him, but Koha vaulted, spinning midair with a Gale Thrust (疾風の突, Shippū no Totsu) kick, sending the lightning-charged arrow into a tree trunk.
Rio, Huo, Yin, and Sky watched in horror and awe. Rio’s amber fists flared. “He’s… he’s laughing in blood and pain… like he owns this world!”
Huo’s fists clenched, emerald eyes tight. “He’s insane… but unstoppable!”
Yin whispered, pale voice trembling. “Every injury he’s taken… every strike… it’s feeding him… transforming him.”
Sky’s smirk was gone, blue eyes wide. “He’s… he’s not a boy anymore… he’s a storm. A bloody, unstoppable storm…”
Koha lunged at Arion with a spinning Fusion Sword slash, cutting through fire and air. He ducked under Kael’s wind strike, countering with a rapid combo of punches and kicks, his movements almost inhuman in speed and precision.
Every strike sent blood spraying from his wounds, droplets landing on enemies, trees, and misted ocean waves. His chest heaved, his breaths ragged, yet his grin widened.
"HAHAHAHA… FEEL IT! THE FEAR… THE PAIN… THE DESPERATION… ALL MINE TO CONTROL!"
The remaining enemies were staggering, trying to coordinate, but Koha’s wild, insane energy overwhelmed their formations. He flipped, spun, and slammed through lines of attackers, the forest shivering under the force of his every movement.
The battlefield was a maelstrom of chaos. Torn trees littered the forest floor, waves pounded cliffs, and mist carried the coppery scent of blood. Koha’s body was a tapestry of injuries: deep gashes across his shoulders, arms, and torso, bruises darkening, and blood dripping into his eyes and onto his hands.
Yet, the madness in his eyes burned brighter. His left pupil dark, right white, glyphs spinning in intricate spirals, he laughed—a chilling, maniacal sound that echoed across the battlefield.
"HAHAHAHA! You thought you could stop me? Fools… every strike, every cut… it only makes me stronger!"
The remaining enemies, twelve now, tightened their formation.
Umbra, shadows coiling around him, hissed: “He’s beyond human… contain him… or die!”
Kael, wind whipping his robes, snarled: “Focus! Don’t let him overwhelm you!”
Arion, face streaked with soot, muttered: “He’s insane… and he’s turning the battlefield into his weapon!”
Koha’s movements became unpredictable, almost demonic in their fluidity. He vaulted into the air, landing atop a shattered tree trunk, then spun into a martial arts combo enhanced with elemental magic:
Flame Fist (火焔の拳, Kaen no Kobushi) smashing into Kael, sending him sprawling
Ice Fist (氷結の拳, Hyōketsu no Kobushi) freezing the ground under Arion’s feet
Earth Fist (大地の拳, Daichi no Kobushi) creating a quake that destabilized Umbra’s shadow tendrils
The enemies’ coordinated strikes were relentless—vines whipped, swords slashed, arrows flew—but Koha countered with Fusion Sword swings (光と闇の融合剣, Kōyami Yūgō Ken) that cut through defenses and redirected attacks. His Flowing Water Blade (流水の刃, Ryūsui no Yaiba) deflected arrows midair, while Gale Thrust (疾風の突, Shippū no Totsu) propelled him through the air for lightning-fast counterattacks.
Then he began chanting in a low, cold, almost evil voice, forming a giant magical circle in the ocean, glyphs glowing with a forbidden power:
"天地無限の力よ、我が敵を焼き尽くせ…! (Tenchi Mugen no Chikara yo, waga teki o yakitsukuse…! – Power of Infinite Heaven and Earth, consume my enemies!)"
The water rose violently, swirling into a cyclone of magical energy, reflecting his chaotic aura. Waves crashed over the forest edge, freezing midair with ice magic, forming jagged spikes.
Umbra hissed sharply: “Impossible… he’s controlling the ocean, the forest… the very air!”
Koha landed amidst the enemies, blood dripping from every wound, laughing maniacally. Each strike he took, each pain he endured, seemed to amplify his power. He delivered rapid punches, spinning kicks, and sword slashes, each enhanced by elemental bursts:
Fire, Ice, Wind, Earth, Lightning, and Shadow converged in a vortex around him
The forest floor cracked under the force of his kicks
Swords and arrows shattered before his spinning attacks
Kael lunged with wind-augmented strikes, but Koha dodged with fluid acrobatics, then countered with a Fusion Sword sweep that sent him flying into the cliffs. Arion attempted Flame Tempest, but Koha’s Gale Thrust kick deflected him midair, leaving him disoriented.
Umbra, attempting to ensnare him with shadow tendrils, recoiled as Koha’s spinning back kick shattered the ground beneath him. The magic circle in the ocean glowed brighter, responding to Koha’s chaotic energy.
"HAHAHAHA! Look at you all! Weak… pathetic… and all mine!" Koha roared, voice echoing across the mist and waves.
The four allies—Rio, Huo, Yin, and Sky—watched from a distance, mouths agape. Rio’s fists flared with restrained fury. Huo’s jaw clenched, Emerald eyes wide. Yin’s pale hands trembled. Sky’s playful smirk was gone entirely.
Koha’s laughter blended with the crash of waves and the shattering of trees. Each enemy attack he absorbed or dodged seemed to feed his forbidden power, his eyes spinning with chaotic glyphs. He had become a godlike force of martial prowess, sword mastery, and elemental domination, laughing like a crazy, badass boy in the midst of blood, sweat, and shattered forest.
"HAHAHAHA… feel the end of your pathetic lives!" His laugh echoed like thunder, shaking the forest and ocean alike.
Before him, the remaining mages—Arion, Kael, and Umbra—formed a tight triangle, preparing to overwhelm him with coordinated elemental assaults.
Arion’s flames blazed, 火炎の嵐 (Kaen no Arashi – Flame Tempest) roaring, wind swirling around Kael’s 疾風の牙 (Shippū no Kiba – Gale Fang), and shadows stretching from Umbra’s Abyssal Grasp (虚無の結界, Kyomu no Kekkai).
Koha’s grin widened, blood dripping from his mouth and cheek. He spat crimson onto the forest floor, then vaulted into the air, slashing with Fusion Sword (光と闇の融合剣, Kōyami Yūgō Ken), cutting through Arion’s flames as though they were mist.
"HAHAHAHA! I AM THE STORM!" Koha roared, voice cold and dangerous, echoing through the mist.
The first strike was Arion, who lunged with a massive fireball. Koha somersaulted through the air, leaving a trail of spinning elemental glyphs in the mist, and slammed into Arion’s chest with a spinning back kick infused with Earth and Ice magic (大地の拳 + 氷結の拳, Daichi no Kobushi + Hyōketsu no Kobushi). Arion’s armor cracked, ribs splintering. Blood spurted from his mouth and nose. Koha twisted, grabbing Arion by the throat, eyes wild, and slammed him into a tree repeatedly, cracking the trunk, before finishing with a Flame Fist (火焔の拳, Kaen no Kobushi) to shatter Arion’s spine.
Next, Kael charged, wind slicing through the mist. Koha, laughing, pivoted, rolling through the attack, and spinning into a Gale Thrust kick (疾風の突, Shippū no Totsu). He grabbed Kael’s arm mid-air, twisting it violently as he slammed him to the ground. With blood dripping from his own cuts, Koha pummeled Kael with a barrage of fists, alternating Flame, Ice, and Earth Fists, cracking his skull, ribs, and shoulders, until Kael could barely breathe. Finally, Koha lifted him with a spine-breaking slam and thrust his sword across Kael’s chest, finishing the brutal assault.
Umbra tried to vanish into shadows, summoning dark tendrils to bind Koha. Koha’s grin widened. Blood dripping from his arms and chest, he jumped into the air, chanting:
"虚無天秤よ、私の敵を消し去れ!(Kyomu Tenbin yo, watashi no teki o keshisare! – Scales of Oblivion, erase my enemies!)"
Darkness swirled around Umbra, but Koha weaved through the tendrils, slashing and punching with superhuman speed, cutting deep into Umbra’s arms and legs. Blood sprayed across the forest, misted by ocean spray, painting trees and ground crimson. Koha’s laughter became crazed, unstoppable, echoing like a god of carnage.
"HAHAHAHA… THIS IS YOUR END… NO ONE SURVIVES ME!"
With a spinning Flowing Water Blade (流水の刃, Ryūsui no Yaiba) strike, he cut Umbra in half, the shadow mage’s body crumpling as blood sprayed like a river. Koha landed, chest heaving, armor torn, robes soaked with blood—his left eye dark, right eye white, glyphs spinning crazily.
The forest was quiet for a heartbeat—broken branches, rivers of blood, and three dead mages sprawled across the battlefield. Koha, laughing like a mad god, wiped blood from his chin.
Rio, Huo, Yin, and Sky stood frozen. Rio’s fists burned, Huo’s jaw clenched in disbelief. Yin’s pale hands shook, and Sky’s playful grin had completely vanished.
"He… he just slaughtered three elite mages… in cold, brutal, insane fashion…" Sky whispered.
Koha’s voice, still wild, cut across the battlefield:
"Who’s next?! Come! I’ll carve every last one of you until the forest itself cries blood!"
