This is entry 5 of the Rogers Camel. we are still in the ruins of Chicago and john is getting worse. kathy is try to mend it but it got infected andi can see jack is going through a lot cuz john has always been like a uncle too him. I can tell cuz how he looks at him. and i am going out to go look through the ruins to try to find suplies.
i heard something in the distance sounded like the screech of something big oh i hope the storys of all those scorpions and deadly snakes aren't true. but just in case they are i'm going to get back to the camp with the little bit i did find.
i get back to the camp jack is sitting on watch and kathy is tending to john. i go oever to jack and sit with him he look tired and worried and even a little scared.

i told jack this story that his mom used to tell him he should remember it. it is told that beyond the dried up lakes across the deadly plains of the desert through the ruins of another city. After you go through all that, you get to good, fresh land where you actually get to see green and fresh creeks of water.
this story his mom use to tel him and told him someday we would make it there. i tell jack that thats what we are going to try to find the green living lands.
