People always say love makes life brighter. Maybe that’s true. But I’ve always wondered what happens when you know your time is limited?
When I entered the College of Education, BSED-English, I told myself I’d focus only on my studies. Become a teacher. Live quietly. Keep my secret to myself. After all, no one needed to know about the sickness that slowly wrote itself into my body.
But fate never asked for permission.
One ordinary day, I met him. A MedTech student with a smile that felt like sunlight—someone whose world seemed opposite to mine. Bright, confident, full of life.
I should have stayed away. I should have protected my heart, and his. But I didn’t.
And so our story began one that was full of laughter, stolen moments, and love we weren’t sure how to hold onto.
I don’t know how it will end. Maybe love is not about forever… maybe it’s about the moments you choose to keep, even when time is against you.
