Dear Diary,
Today was supposed to be the perfect start to 7th grade. I even picked out my cutest outfit last night and practiced walking in front of the mirror like some kind of mini model. But apparently, mirrors don’t prepare you for tripping over your own shoelace in front of the ENTIRE school😳
So there I was, trying to look confident while carrying my super-heavy backpack (seriously, I think it weighs more than my dog), when I tripped. My math book flew out, hit the floor, and slid across the hallway like it was trying to escape school too. This would have been fine if it hadn’t stopped directly at the feet of the cutest guy in our grade. He picked it up, smiled, and said, “Uh… your math is running away from you.” I laughed, but it came out like a weird hiccup-cough. Smooth, right?😎😎
The rest of the day was okay-ish. My locker is next to Lila, who is basically the queen of sparkly pens, so at least I’ll have someone to borrow from when I forget my stuff (which will be… often). Oh, and I already got lost twice — once on my way to Science and once in the cafeteria, which is actually impressive because the cafeteria is basically one big room.
So yeah, Day 1: survived… barely.🤓🤓🤓
