All three Umbra flags were up. The scoreboard began to tilt. Caelthorn responded like a coiled spring, sending their elite strike team toward Alpha.
Valkan’s voice cut in over the comm. “Hydra, you’re about to get hit from two sides. Rotate Phoenix’s squad—now.”
Hydra didn’t hesitate. “Phoenix, Griffin, Wyvern, Valkyrie—collapse to Alpha. Hold Beta with the Trio and Nymph’s team for two minutes max.”

They smashed into Caelthorn’s flank at Alpha, breaking the assault.
Beta Under Siege
With Phoenix’s group gone, Beta was left thin. Astrynox and Pyronox hit hard. Nymph dropped from the upper floor, her twin blades cutting through two attackers before she even touched the ground. Basilisk fought like a storm, elbows and knees brutal in the cramped corridors.

Pegasus vaulted higher, firing down on a Caelthorn runner before they could touch the flag.
Still, the tide was turning against them.
Gamma’s Gambit

Nymph—panting from Beta’s defense—cut in, “Shift one defender from Gamma to Beta. Hold until Phoenix’s squad can rotate.”
Chimera made the call. “Basilisk, go.”
Basilisk left Gamma without looking back, charging straight into Beta’s collapsing defense and hitting Pyronox’s lead fighter so hard the floor cracked under them.
The Last Minute
The scoreboard showed Umbra ahead by three points. The crowd’s roar was deafening.
At Alpha, Hydra’s team was locked in a brutal brawl. Leviathan’s armor was dented, Hydra’s blade dripping with dust and sweat. Sphinx’s voice came from above: “Thirty seconds!”
Beta’s defenders were barely standing—Basilisk bleeding from a shallow cut, Nymph’s arm trembling from blocking strike after strike. Pegasus covered them, his last bolt finding its mark.
Gamma was calm—too calm. Sphinx spoke softly: “No more waves coming. Caelthorn put everything into Alpha.”
The horn blared.
The scoreboard froze. Then, slowly, the results locked in.
