The dojo smelled of sweat, blood, and something colder — fear, perhaps, or anticipation. Cobra Kai had become something else entirely. Johnny paced at the edge, barking orders, his voice cracking like a whip, while Andrea, Hawk, Miguel, and Tory moved in sync, their punches precise, ruthless, the sound of impact echoing like thunder in the room.
“Harder!” Johnny shouted, slamming his fist into his palm. “Your enemies aren’t gonna show you mercy, so why the hell should you?”
Andrea drove her shin into the heavy bag so hard that it rattled on its chain. Hawk, standing beside her, smirked. “Nice. You’re getting faster.”
“I have to keep up,” Andrea said, her voice flat but sharp. “If I don’t… I’ll be useless.”
Miguel glanced at her from across the mat, brows furrowed. “You’re not useless. Don’t say that.”
Andrea shot him a look, icy but hiding something deeper. “Then prove it.”
Johnny clapped his hands. “Pair up! No holding back this time. I want blood on the mats if I have to!”
Robby stood a few feet away, watching. Since joining Cobra Kai officially, training had been different — harder, harsher. At first, the merciless takedowns and brutal calculation in every move had shocked him. But as the nights passed, he felt something slipping inside him. A chill. A detachment.
“Robby!” Johnny’s bark snapped him back. “You with me or are you daydreaming like a LaRusso?”
Robby tightened his jaw. “I’m here.”
“Good. Then get moving. And don’t hold back. If I see one ounce of hesitation, you’re out that door.”
Andrea stepped forward, meeting Miguel in the center of the mat. Their spar started fast — Miguel struck first, a sharp jab aimed at her ribs, but Andrea ducked under and swept his leg. He stumbled but caught himself, smiling despite the sweat dripping down his face.
“You’re not bad,” he teased.
Andrea smirked, circling him. “Not bad? You just hit the floor.”
Miguel lunged again, their bodies colliding. The two exchanged a rapid flurry of punches and blocks, the tension between them thicker than the air around them. Hawk shouted encouragement from the sidelines, while Tory folded her arms, her sharp eyes locked on Andrea with something between approval and suspicion.
Johnny finally barked, “Break!”
Andrea’s chest heaved as she straightened. Miguel offered her a hand. She hesitated before taking it, gripping tight, her eyes locked on his. For a second, the dojo was silent, the world narrowing to the two of them.
Robby noticed. And his stomach twisted.
Later that night, rain slicked the streets outside. Andrea leaned against the back wall of the dojo, the neon sign above buzzing faintly. Robby stepped into the misty alley, his hands shoved deep in his hoodie pocket.
“You’re different now,” Andrea said without looking at him.
Robby leaned on the opposite wall. “I’m not different.”
“Yeah, you are.” She turned her head, smirking. “You’re lying to yourself. I can see it.”
Their eyes locked, tension crackling. When their hands brushed, it was like setting a match to gasoline. The kiss was rough, desperate, months of rivalry and unspoken attraction exploding at once. Robby’s hands found her waist; Andrea pressed closer, rain dampening their hair and clothes.
When they broke apart, Robby whispered, “You’re insane.”
Andrea grinned. “I know. But you like it.”
His jaw clenched. “Yeah… maybe I do.”
They kissed again, slower this time, the shadows cloaking their heat and secrecy.
Inside the dojo, Hawk was showing Moon a drill in the corner. She brushed her hand against his arm, grounding him. For a fleeting second, he caught sight of Andrea and Robby outside. He narrowed his eyes, lips twitching. But instead of calling it out, he turned back to Moon.
“You get it now?” Hawk asked, his voice softer than usual.
Moon smiled faintly. “Yeah. But maybe don’t break my arm this time, okay?”
Hawk chuckled, a sound that felt strange in the violent haze of Cobra Kai.
Elsewhere, Miguel met Samantha in secret. A dim park, hidden from prying eyes. They sat close on a bench, their hands brushing.
“I don’t care what anyone thinks,” Sam whispered. “Not my dad, not your dojo… none of it.”
Miguel exhaled, conflicted. “You don’t get it. If Cobra Kai finds out—”
“I’m not afraid of them.” She squeezed his hand. “I’m afraid of losing you.”
He leaned in, forehead pressing against hers. “You won’t. I promise.”
But their stolen moment shattered when Amanda and Daniel appeared, voices sharp with shock.
“Miguel?” Amanda gasped.
Daniel’s voice cut like glass. “What the hell is going on here?”
Sam shot up. “Dad—”
“She’s my daughter,” Daniel barked, pointing at Miguel. “And you’re a Cobra Kai! You think you can sneak around behind my back with her?”
Miguel’s voice cracked. “Sir, please, I’m not like—”
“You’re one of them!” Daniel snapped. “And you have no idea how dangerous that makes you.”
Sam’s eyes welled with tears. “Stop it! Please, just listen—”
But Daniel turned away, storming off with Amanda. Miguel stood frozen, guilt clawing at his chest as Sam broke down beside him.
Back at the dojo, Johnny’s obsession spiraled. He barked order after order, his eyes bloodshot with obsession. “Again! You’re too soft! I want to see strikes that end fights, not start ’em. You hear me?”
The pack obeyed. Andrea, Hawk, Tory, Miguel, Bert, Mitch, Kenny, Kyler — all moving sharper, colder, like wolves on the hunt.
For the first time, Robby watched them gang up on a lone opponent during drills. Their fists and kicks struck with merciless precision, no hesitation, no remorse. The kid dropped like a ragdoll.
Robby’s breath caught. For a moment, horror twisted his face. But then… something shifted. His jaw tightened. His eyes hardened.
Andrea found him later under the fire escape, rain dripping down the iron bars. “You’ve changed,” she murmured.
He smirked faintly, colder than before. “Maybe. Maybe I like it.”
Andrea stepped close, her fingers brushing his chest. “Then don’t lie to me.”
Their kiss this time was fire. Consuming, reckless, dangerous. Hands pulling, breaths ragged, shadows hiding them.
When they finally pulled apart, Robby muttered against her lips, “I can’t stop thinking about this.”
Andrea’s grin was wicked. “Good. Because I’m not stopping either.”
Meanwhile, Daniel’s fury burned hotter with every news report of Cobra Kai’s brutality. He paced the LaRusso living room, fists clenched.
“I can’t let this continue. I won’t let my city — my family — get destroyed by Johnny Lawrence and his pack of psychos.”
Amanda grabbed his arm. “Daniel, think about what you’re saying—”
“I don’t care anymore.” His voice was raw, trembling with rage. “If Johnny won’t stop, then I will. He’s going to pay for this.”
Anthony peeked from the stairs, wide-eyed. Sam sat silent, hugging her knees, torn between love and loyalty.
The storm was building. And soon, it would break.
