" He wasn't like this before , what changed was when he bought books of magic that taught him skills he never should've learned " Narra said as she narrated the story of Grasil .
He would learn more and more about the problem of our dying world tree , as spirits are an important part of elven magic . He wanted to do his part as a prince and heir to the throne . He searched for solutions both from our text and foreign .
Eventually , he learned a horrible magic necromancy . Compared to the necromancy most people knew about , Grasil was able to rid the souls of the dead by removing them so their bodies could be fed and their souls not turned into spirits because only elves could become that .
However , the young prince never knew that the souls would come back and haunt the world tree . They wanted to possess their bodies because they were animated by Grasil and worse of all , transformed .
He needed their bodies to match that of elves and spent years researching to do so . He was secretive about it and it was too late as the world tree was nearing its end . I sacrificed myself to give the elves some time .
But instead of time to find the right solution , the wrong one came , which led to the world tree being unable to accept the spirits outside because of the ghouls that were made from Grasil's necromancy .
They were stronger because Grasil had removed every bit of it . I wasn't against his study of necromancy at first , but as it grew , I realized it became worse and I was also too late in stopping him . As a mother , I failed him and as a prince , he was going to fail the world tree .
We were too busy to stop Grasil because we were stuck inside the world tree fighting off the ghouls and without the nutrients made from the corpses , the world tree dies .
But it only stalls for time as the world tree will eventually die and forcing every dead elf's soul out before we can become spirits unless Grasil finds a way to resolve it .
Perhaps studying necromancy was good , but we are uncertain whether the resentment from all those souls could be taken away if we had holy relics maybe it would be possible .
"You want me to fix that ?" " Yes you have holy relics gifted to children so I assume you have a lot of resources to be able to afford to bring those children in the demon realm while also providing holy relics " Yuni thinks about it "Then why did you leave"
" Because I was the only one who could convey everything even though everyone hated Grasil's doing , killing him won't solve the problem , he was both the cause of the problem and probably the solution but stalling for time until he became the solution wasn't right "
' I can admire that they decided to make some change for that but I'm not so sure about just going there and getting rid of the resentment ' Yuni was aware of how dangerous the resentment can be .
"It will be hard to agree to your request" " You will be rewarded " "Just because there's a reward doesn't mean you can force me , in the first place why hasn't Grasil noticed it yet ?" " Because the fight has occurred inside the world tree , we couldn't tell anyone it was Grasil or he would have a breakdown "
"So you called an outsider ? That is a good move but you only bought information related to Grasil the cause of the problem , but you don't know about the solution or the problem themselves . Souls are hard to understand and they couldn't have possibly overpowered you"
" They're resentment is strong , I don't know the standard of it , but I'm certain they hate Grasil for slaughtering them " "Yet for some reason , they are holding you back ? You elves live long , which would turn you into greater spirits no ?"
" That's right " "My theory is someone is strengthening the ghouls attacking you , even if the world tree is weakened to a state of near death it still carries the souls of elves who can become spirits right ?"
Narra started to grow suspicious and think of a potential supporter " Now that I think about it , these ghouls were unnecessarily strong , they had such short lives , but it feels as though they are much older than us "
"Exactly , but the fact that Grasil never took notice means there is a mastermind behind this , so my best option is to first see before we jump to conclusions"
" That is the right move with the strange occurences " "If you want this to go faster you can do so by helping me grow stronger at least until I can handle the possible mastermind behind the problem" " Alright you have my cooperation "
Yuni smiled glad to have Narra cooperating with the development of her land "By the way have you heard of animated elven corpses ?" " Yes why do you ask " "Did you feed them to the world tree too ?"
" Why wouldn't we , we were very desperate because so many elves were dying outside " "Then how strong do you think you are ? to these ghouls ?" " I can handle a few of them , I am still at the early stages of spirit formation "
Yuni takes note of this "Make sure to get stronger" " I will try but because of the environment I might turn into a demon " "Trust me it will be fine you will only feel some burning in your body if you did become a demon and that kind of effect is from an artifact belssed by an angel directly . To give you more confidence I have a Koshka who became a demon but was able to stay the same mentally as well as a friend who is the same too"
" I will trust your words " ' She seems pretty fine with most of the things I said about demons ' Yuni figured this type of elf are more progressive ' Maybe that's why Grasil learned necromancy '
Yuni wakes up and leaves to accept Haggis who came in early along with a few workers ' I have no idea what he told them to get so many people ' she opened the doorway to the castle and after accepting everyone she went out to do more and more quest .
' Just to be sure , I'll stay in the city most of the time so I can participate in taking the raid boss . Since Delirium told me about what the city's raid boss food preference I could find a hidden piece if I feed it that '
Yuni recalled the number of people that were eaten back then ' If I calculate it correctly , I might be able to feed them more stat stones and make them my familiar . I am supposed to be a witch , so I should have a familiar that Caprion fed demons with '
She continued this for five days as she went through the delirium quests which made her fight through the hardships that she went through after consuming the potion ' It's a good trip down to the memory lane but is there really a need to do this ? '
Yuni sat on the corpse of an area boss ' It's like playing three different games at once , In the real world I'm playing a new game and a management game meanwhile, in my dreams I am going back to my old game , my skills are a bit rusty , but not completely gone . It kinda feels like I'm a regressor playing it all over again '
She wondered if the delirium quest would eventually lead her to the moment she made her children ' It was really painful to get four pieces of me destroyed from my body ' she let the workers in the gym make more stat stones and went out to make some money .
' It's a bit annoying that I'm still in the process of playing that game those admins are making but speaking of admins , Does this world have a lot ? Maybe I can discover how they created this system , I wasn't able to get any clues from the one I managed at first , so maybe this will give me some answers . Moreover , there is that person who is asking me for help '
While worrying about the origin of the system she had inherited as well as the prisoner , she was also focused on the timing of the raid bosses ' The only clue I got from that dream was that raids are declared at different time . But they will declare when raid season begins at least '

" Undead elves memorize this image , as this is the target . That we want dead she has received the branch of the world tree and thus we need to ensure she is killed . Else we let the variables in "
All the undead shouted and Yuni wondered if this meant that the raid attack was gonna be more bountiful ' But the fact that they communicated with the admin means they could be the suppliers of the raids . So there might be some demons that might feed the raid boss from my dream just to spite me '
Yuni figured she'll also have to work on the production just in case ' But they are aiming for me and they want to remove some variables and they're talking to undead too . Maybe my theory about a mastermind behind it isn't so far-fetched afterall '
While thinking about it , she also figured that the undead weren't just puppets that necromancers control ' Seeing as they are rallying the undead with a speech , each undead might be a person in a sense , they can make their own decisions . Hence the need to increase morale '
Yuni listened as the necromancers all said " For the church of the eternal dead " ' Eternal dead ? ' Yuni wondered what the cost of this information is ' I recall that I didn't receive a penalty last time when I visited Narra maybe it's to tell me this '
She thinks of how much she was benefiting from Delirium ' Wait don't tell me it was consuming my delirium reward instance ? ' she wakes up and checks to see that she had expended them ' What ? Is it automatic ? '
Yuni sighed , disappointed that her rewards were consumed without her consent ' I guess it's fine since I already have the necklace and the crown '

' Clearly it is not random ' Yuni thought , since the one around her will be very early and much harder ' Yuni goes out of House and a message appears declaring the raid attack .
[ Attack of the animated elves ]
An arrow shot through the notification and Yuni seized it . The poison splattered to her thin shield and slip to the porch ' To end a raid you need to neutralize the threat I'm sure necromancy of that level will require plenty of work '
House starts defending and Yuni went inside ' Let's first store up all the stat stones ' Yuni went to the demon realm and took them while Damo tugged her pants " Master when can I go back and enhance House ? "
"Are you finished ?" " Yeah but are you gonna give me a new project ? " "No , you will build more stuff like those later . You can add more armaments on House later after the raid is complete" " Really ? " Yuni nodded .
"You've done a lot to build all those things , especially that library which houses the crown of knowledge . it's gonna bring more cash in soon " " Hehe it is very hard , but I did them " Damo said proudly .
"I'll call you when the raid ends" Yuni leaves the demon realm and assesses the damage ' Damo built House like a raid boss . She checks the progress bar and it is almost complete ' I'll have to take these undead to the world tree branch later on to confirm my theories '
[ Raid concluded ]
' top one ' Yuni ate her breakfast while storing all the undead inside her inventory . As soon as she was done , she went to the demon realm and let Damo return while paying the tree branch a visit .
It has already matched the aesthetics of the demon realm now ' I'm guessing I can visit Narra by paying the price ? ' A notification for the usage appeared and Yuni threw the corpses on the roots before agreeing to the usage .
Yuni arrived at the space , which has transformed " Oh you are back , it seems you were right about being a demon " "How is it ?" " It's fine , I've progressed much better as a demon , but I still retain some qualities of a spirit " Narra said .
"You better prepare then I've bought a lot of elves from the raid season" " They attacked you ? " "Yes , I even used a delirium reward instance to infiltrate the necromancers and found that they were making a speech and painting the target on my back"
" Really ? But why would they make a speech ? They're used to improve soldier morale , no reason to tell that to the undead " "Which is why I'm suspicious and why I came here to help confirm some theories of my own"
In the mist beyond the space Yuni and Narra are some elves starts to appear " Is this the world tree ? " the elves were surprised to see Yuni but quickly came up with a reason " Why is there a cat beastkin here "
Yuni sent a message to Narra's eyes "Welcome them as you should've in the world tree , I'll take care of it later" " Welcome new elves , you must be shocked from the sudden change ? As well as the inclusion of this cat beastkin ? "
" Y-yes , what is this about ? " " We are inside the world tree or at least a branch of it " ' The fact that they haven't recognized me could mean that they aren't elves in the homeland at the very least . But they seem to be pure elves and the number seems to be too much '
After welcoming them and explaining that Yuni now owns the world tree branch , Narra excuses herself and talks to Yuni " There is something strange with these elves " "I know , it's weird that they are all pure elves , but they are also under some kind of cult"
" What kind ? " "a church of eternal death" " That doesn't sound very familiar , but it seems related to necromancy " "They might be related to the mastermind because they said they wanted to remove as many variables as possibles . I was considered one because I have the world tree"
" So what do you plan to do ? " Yuni takes out the illusion necklace "Interrogation obviously" Yuni looked for an elf and isolated them quickly " Uh Miss Yuni " Yuni removed their silence and asked "Who are you all ?"
" We are undead commanded by the eternal death to kill you " The undead covered their mouth surprised by how they easily spilled the information " That is impressive how much can they say ? "
"Anything , I've completely removed their ability to remain silent about the truth . I also silenced their lies so they can only be honest right now ."
Yuni showed Narra the silence that she took from the undead " Then can I take over ? " Yuni nodded " If you all are undead , does that mean that you have also infiltrated the world tree by sending more of you to the elven homeland ? "
The undead tried to leave but Yuni restrained them quickly " Yes there are spies in the world tree and even outside it , we have been keeping tabs to get the world tree for the eternal death " ' Why eternal death ? is it to say you're forever an undead ? '
" Did you do anything to the Prince Grasil ? " " No , he was the one that made an opportunity for us on his own , with the dying of the world tree , he was the one who learned necromancy and used it to create fake elves . We simply copied it because it was an oppurtunity "
" Is that why the ghouls that are attacking the world tree are so strong ? " " No it was our spies that decided to take the oppurtunity and strengthen the ghouls . We haven't learned about his Necromancy talent yet , so we made sure to keep Grasil from finding out about the ghouls that entered "
" You blackmailed him ? " " No we didn't , but we were able to force the spirits back and keep them from saying anything after Grasil slaughtered that city of both players and NPCs about a month ago "
' So it happened that time ' " So if you aren't elves , how did you have souls like this ? " " We just copied how Grasil transformed the corpse into an elf , so we did the same to the soul " ' I'm learning a lot of things from asking them questions . This silence removal is really useful '
"Tell me are you collaborating with the prince ?" " Yes we offered to bring corpses transformed to elves and hid the souls inside so that we can send spies into the world tree "

"I needed to make sure you know so you can tend to the forest" " I will make sure to put it my all " Narra said and Yuni leaves . She stores all the souls in the lamp and goes to have them processed ' After I remove their skills , I can learn necromancy to force them back to their bodies and make more stat stones . '
Yuni leaves the soul lantern to be processed so that she can acquire some skill books . She accelerated the process and got the skill books for necromancy ' I'll have to read all of these as soon as possible and since that raid boss is coming up I'll head to the inn .
Haggis was wondering what Yuni did in the demon realm since most of it was not inside especially when she threw the bodies on the world tree branch ' What is she up to ? ' as he read , he was surprised that Yuni paid to stay inside the city .
' Now this is even stranger ' He was confused as to what just happened and her reasoning to be in here while there was a raid season ' Does she want to steal all the contribution ? I remembered that last time she did that the system made us do another quest . But since it is Raid season we might be able to do other raid bosses instead of just this one . But does she know ? '
But as much as Yuni was strong , she had to use a lot of bugs under the system and sheer will so Haggis was also doubtful of her strength ' I don't know where she got all that strength , but it would make sense for her to have that kind of strength , considering that she is a variable the system took in '
Haggis took note of the lack of Balance with Yuni wondering why she was so confident ' is the storybook hiding some details ? ' Yuni ate some food while looking around some of the closed shops that the NPCs left .
' Unsurprisingly , it looked like some players tried to steal but failed , they have good security ' Yuni slept in and found herself faced with an empty position .
' We're already at this part ? ' Yuni was very annoyed recalling the pain of this moment ' I've killed the other three lower managers and the annoying part wasn't the inheritance but rather after that ' as Yuni took the seat , her body was destroyed and split into four of her children .
Yuni facepalmed herself sensing the destruction of her body ' Honestly it's a bit of a surprise that I was able to keep going . My body full of talent destroyed to become the children I have today . And it was only then I would spare those lower position management or at least have them replaced so I don't break my body to fill it , which si probably why the collector was never able to inherit it '
Yuni continued witnessing her journey in recreating another body while her children were having too much fun during the month of her new character extensive training ' It was an excruciating month full of training and regaining all the skills '
She recalled learning the mechanics of the management position and it involved the user or the person to create an account , which is commonly known as the body .
' After that , I got the management position back , I'm glad Fame doesn't show everything or else I might get swarmed by the players who will accuse me of being responsible , but thankfully Fame hides a few secrets to be revealed later in the plot just to spice it up '
Yuni was left with a cliffhanger to any possible reader of her story if this text would even reach them . Her younger self sat on the management position and a notification appeared in front of her .

' It was this moment that I learned there were even more things beyond my world ' Yuni figured that as she gets stronger , her dreams will become much longer than before and likely more intense .
' It's just reliving my life , but even if I try to interfere with it the next dream would continue as per usual . Which is actually good since that means these dreams are based on my memories and not my actual memories cause there is a lot that could happen if I were to screw them up '
Her younger self agreed to the invitation and left her body as Yuni listened to her younger self's marvel ' Maybe because it was the account that received the potion of inheritance , that my kids grew up fast in less than four years . They're young but act like adults , it was a good thing I left some caretakers for them '
Yuni watched her younger self create a character for the new account ' Oh that's right , this was the time I chose human , wasn't it ? ' upon selecting human , Yuni was transported away and appeared inside a dungeon .
Yuni was attacked by traps and she dodged them quickly ' Looks like it's this part that I can take control of . These dream sequences really are testing my reaction speed since I can hardly tell when i get to have control '
She ran to the end to clear the first floor of the tower game . Pitfalls were jumped over , thin threads that slice metal were carefully avoided and while there was no classic run from the boulder after it was sliced by the thin threads , there was a sudden change in terrain that forced Yuni to swim through a lake and avoid burning herself on burning coal .
She continued and adapted to the changes on the first floor and finally completed it .
