The next step was harder. Bianca Belair wasn’t just anyone—we needed her on our side, not just for her strength, but her integrity. She’d never backed down from a fight, and I respected the hell out of that.
Cody and Randy waited in the background while I approached her in the training ring. She was mid-set, working the ropes like she was preparing for a title match. Sweat glistened on her brow, her braid swinging in perfect rhythm. When she noticed me, she stopped and tilted her head.
“Well, well. Look who decided to show up in daylight.”
I grinned. “I walk in the light sometimes.”
She hopped down from the ring, grabbing a towel. “What’s up, Angel?”
“We need you.”
That got her attention. She raised a brow. “We being…?”
“Me. Cody. Randy. And now LA Knight.”
Her lips parted slightly, caught off guard. “That’s a team right there.”
I stepped closer. “We’re not just forming a squad for fun. Rock and Cena brought Nia in. They’re rewriting everything in their image. They want to steamroll the rest of us—and you know damn well they will if we let them.”
Bianca folded her arms. “You think I’m just gonna let that happen?”
“I’m betting everything that you won’t. I’ve watched you take down giants, break barriers, carry this division on your back when no one gave you credit. You belong in this fight, B. We need your strength—and your heart.”
For a beat, she was quiet. Then a slow smile spread across her lips. “You really think I’m gonna miss a chance to shut Nia up in front of the whole world?”
I let out a breath and laughed. “So, you’re in?”
“Damn right, I’m in.”
We walked back toward the parking lot, Bianca beside me, Cody and Randy waiting up ahead. Knight leaned against Cody’s car like he owned it, flashing that smug look again. As we approached, Cody smiled wide and clapped Bianca on the shoulder. “The EST joins the rebellion.”
Randy gave her a nod. “Now we’re dangerous.”
I looked at the team around me—chaotic, unlikely, powerful. And for the first time in weeks, I felt something I hadn’t dared to feel since this started. Hope.
“Let’s show ‘em what happens when legends get reckless,” I said, voice low.
Cody grinned. “At Backlash, we’re not just fighting back…”
LA Knight threw his arms out dramatically. “We’re takin’ OVER. YEAH!”
Bianca smirked. “Now this? This is gonna be fun.”
I nodded, eyes narrowing on the horizon. Backlash was coming. And we weren’t just showing up—we were coming to break the system.
